I have a homemade turbine I built and I had to run a drain pipe just under the AC box (square body truck) about 3/4 inch. Air gap taking into account the factory rubber muffler/silencer that OEM diesel trucks have fitted. .It wasn't greasy or anything but I then treated it with a degreaser. I then did a final clean with acetone and let it dry completely. Finally I applied this product to the underside to protect it from the heat of the turbo downpipe. At first I was very happy with how it turned out. It's a project car and it's not finished yet, so I haven't seen any heat to speak of. But unfortunately it started peeling off at the edges as soon as it was installed. It's too late to come back and now it seems utterly useless. Now I'm looking for other options. You can't find anything these days that does what it's supposed to do.
