Good product and support

Installation: Installation should have taken about 20-25 minutes but as I had a window frame overhang I had to file it down to get the lock bracket in and to fit. The whole time for me was 45 minutes and a lot of sweat. It wasn't her fault. The odd thing is that the inner mount of the lock is wider than the outer, so I didn't have to file anything for the outer mount. I drilled a hole in the door to fit the top screw (using the drill bit provided) but couldn't. Don't use the templates provided as my window frame on the door prevented it from installing properly, so I simply installed the lock while holding the gasket in place and removed the lock, marking the hole with a rubber grommet. I thought I positioned it correctly, but it was slightly misaligned and the bottom of the lock and the top screw were misaligned. I had to try and drill the hole wider to make it fit. When I did this, the included drill bit broke. I also thought that illustrations of the mounting hardware and screws to use could better illustrate it. Usage: When I downloaded the app from the Android Play Store, I was immediately warned that this app could harm my phone. I have never received such messages from any other application. I checked and installed it again. I also saw a screen with a lot of Chinese overprint when I got this warning, very scary. The first thing I would like to say is that Bluetooth is absolutely useless for a door lock in my opinion. You have to be 2 meters or less away to do anything, so you can just get a manual lock to insert into the codes on the door. It's like a microwave phone app, what's the point? (By the way, Whirlpool includes Wi-Fi control with their microwave oven app). You can get a gateway device for $40 EXTRA to work with Wi-Fi, but I think it should have been included. The most frustrating thing is that the auto lock feature doesn't work. seems to work consistently with manual unlocking. I have contacted CSR to verify this and will let you know if and when I receive a response. Even when it locks automatically it makes a lot of noise and I don't know why it does that. More frustration with management. The images are so small that you cannot see what they represent, the English grammar is poor and contains many spelling mistakes. It is obvious that the Chinese product will not be developed without the help of Americans or English speakers. Another problem with the app is that it is difficult for them to understand what they are doing or not explained at all in the guide or app. I understand passwords and how to create them, it's good and easy to do but they have other things like admin, ekeys, privacy lock and more that are not explained properly or at all. A BIG disappointment is the listings in the app. Most lock apps will show you a record of ALL. This doesn't seem to show any manual locks/unlocks or auto locks in the entries. Another weird thing is when you block it with the app it says "Blocked". If you unlock it with an app, "Unlock with app" will be displayed. Do they even have a quality control department? Update: Autolock inconsistency issue. It has been found (through repeated trial and error) that the latch does not slide freely until fully extended when auto-latched. It will auto-lock once and beep many times, but if you manually unlock it again, it will not auto-lock again. 3 hours auto-lock instead of 2 hours as before. After that, the auto lock worked every time. EVERYWHERE in the manual or troubleshooting tips these error tones are mentioned. Update: Melody from Smonet contacted me and helped me a lot with using blocking.
