I have an Aruba S2500-48P switch with 4 SFP+ ports which is marked in the manual as only supporting 1GB copper modules, but on a whim I jumped on it and thought if it didn't wouldn't be a big deal but of course loaded right out of the box and into the switched on switch and he picked it up and didn't see any issues or extra tricks like activating unsupported transceivers etc that come with connected to my google router and full10g works great with cat6 cable! I have now ordered 3 more. I haven't tested Jumbo Frames/MTU yet, but I'll update if I encounter any issues.
