Review on Susan Bates 22-Inch Silvalume Afghan Hook, 6mm, Light Yellow - Improved SEO by Jessica Lewis

Cheap kinked cord, no swivel, not repairable (for me)

Unfortunately the company chose a very cheap material for the cord. It has so much storage (rolled up in the packaging) that takes hot water, hanging a weight from a hook (I threaded it through a heavy cotton ball and put a needle stopper on the end), then a hot hair dryer. Still bending. It would be nice if the cable could be rotated. It can be done. I have high quality circular needles with a soft plastic cord and a swivel that attaches the needle to the cord. Knit ts (simple Tunisian stitch) in one position on the left side. This type of crochet hook is designed to hold many loops, just like a knitting needle. But spinning it in your hand no matter what you do with the cord is tiring. I've seen interchangeable hooks and might take a chance. Paying $7 for an unusable hook versus $50 for a working set might be the way to go. I knit, crochet, spin, weave and more so I'm not sure how much more Tunisian I'll really do. But one thing is for sure: with this crochet, that won't happen. Craft is therapy, not combat.
