I absolutely hate this item and I regret the purchase. Everything you do beeps, and when you turn off the sound and it needs to be reprogrammed immediately, you have no idea what you're doing. I bought this lock hoping to replace my old house key but it's not the right type. Please note that your key must be KW1 type for Smart Key Rekey feature. It's probably in the item description and I missed it, but my old key doesn't have any identifying marks to tell what type it is and I didn't feel like going down the rabbit hole to find out all about the keys and theirs key figuring out types. Cheers to all key nerds, you will have fun. I literally just programmed this thing (3rd time the.char), tested it and made sure it worked. Then when I try to show my family how it works, it doesn't work... it doesn't work.
