I absolutely hate this item and I regret the purchase. Everything you do beeps, and when you turn off the sound and it needs to be reprogrammed immediately, you have no idea what you're doing. I installed it on a steel exterior door and found that the latch assembly could not be modified on site for paneled doors. You must purchase a latch designed for flush mounting. I bought this lock in July and 3 months later gave it a rave review. A month after the enthusiastic review, our 4 month old lock started to fail.
