*updated after a month of ownership* I experimented a little more with the height of the saddle nose and when I tilt it enough to ease the pressure on my hands a bit, the burning sensation returns. longer trips. I think the problem is the hard plastic rails on either side of the gutter and not enough padding next to them. This is more noticeable when I'm wearing shorts with less padding than shorts with more padding. For a lighter rider, this probably won't be as much of an issue, but as I said below, I weigh over 230 pounds, so that's a lot. Weight from my sit bones on the saddle. I'll keep it as it wasn't very expensive and might try again if I lose about 30 pounds but I'm trying other saddles again now. I think I'll like this saddle. During the first few rides I felt a burning sensation in the front part of the seated anatomy. I'm a tall rider - 5ft 10 inches and 235 pounds - so I wasn't sure if it was my fault or the seat. However, I continued to fiddle with the height of the nose, lowering it further on each subsequent ride and was able to completely eliminate the discomfort. It feels much better to me and fits me much better than the original saddle, racing gel saddle. I'm glad I bought this item and would recommend it to others.
