Review on OE Technology Series Continental 4060460 6-Rib Multi-V Belt - 46.0 Inches by Gage Lawson

Application: 2003 Honda Odyssey EX Installed: 07/25/2010 (almost 6 years old) Part Mileage: 113,000 miles in 2010, was badly cracked and started to squeak when the A/C was turned on. After seeing some positive reviews on the Goodyear Gatorback 4060460 I decided to give it a try and see if Goodyear's directional groove technology was an improvement over the OEM part. I installed it myself and mostly forgot about it for 6 years. The belt worked as it should, never squeaked and I had nothing to worry about on my high mileage odyssey. My Honda service dept recently informed me that my belt was "broken" (at 226,000 miles) and I needed to replace it, so I ordered another one and set about installing it myself. I can report that after 113,000 miles and almost 6 years this belt has had much less wear than the original belt. Look at the picture. The service advisor thought that was a "hack". I think this belt could probably last another 113,000 miles but I put a new one in anyway. The name has changed (Continental must have bought Goodyear?) but I'm very impressed with how well this piece worked. I have seen broken belts and this one had the fewest breaks after 113,000 miles. I don't have to think long about this belt in the van and it makes me a happy father!
