OE Technology Series Continental 4060460 6-Rib Multi-V Belt - 46.0 Inches Review

Just curious why they were in different boxes, one was Goodyear stamped and the other Continental, just thought maybe Goodyear stock or overstock before it became a Continental brand.

I bought this item to replace the serpentine belt on a 2004 Honda Odyssey. The process was a headache as access to the pulley tensioner was inconvenient. However, the band itself was well made and has been working great for a few weeks. I highly recommend this product for its build quality and fair price.

I used to always use Gates V-ribbed belts. The application I used ribbed belts in does not have automatic tensioners. The Gates straps stretched and had to be adjusted. I've done this 2 or 3 times over the life of the belts. When I first used the Gatorback straps, I only had to tighten the straps once in the same application. That's why I prefer to buy Gatorback V-ribbed belts.

Our 2003 Odyssey started making a screeching noise. At first I thought it was a bad A/C compressor pulley bearing. A friend said it sounded like the serpentine belt was making noise, but we all thought that couldn't be. The current Dayco belt (from AutoZone) is only a year old. I bought a Goodyear GatorBack belt. Noises gone, still quiet after almost 3 years. If I change a belt, I'll go for the Goodyear GatorBack from now on.
