Performance upgrade at a great price

Great product at a great price has really increased the power and performance of my son's Mini Cooper. Installation was a breeze, no error codes or issues after installation.

I don't recommend for Mini Cooper

Maybe it fits Mini Cooper with n18 engines better. The knee is not bent at the right angle and the filter's shroud does not quite fit. For the price I should have gotten an AEM air intake with a nice scoop for the Mini Cooper.

Very easy installation

The product arrived well packaged and undamaged. Detailed instructions with helpful photos help the buyer to easily remove and reinstall the kit. It took 30 minutes or less from start to finish. Everything you need to complete the transformation is included. If you have basic hand tools and a rudimentary understanding of what's under the hood, this setup shouldn't pose a problem. Simple, clear instructions and 30 minutes. DONE.

2014 Mini Countryman S Set

Let me start by saying that I am by no means a mechanic. I read the review here and knew I would have to trim the case to fit. Since I couldn't find any other air intakes that fit my car, I took a chance. The item arrived very quickly with no problems. I was able to use an angle grinder with a metal cutting blade and remove the necessary parts to fit these cases. Everything else was just dinner at that moment. Great product but be careful when installing. The metal of the whistle is very thin. The rest is very nice.

Pros: the product will definitely make you hear the turbo a lot more! It's an amazing sound. Very quick installation. Cons: Fitting the rubber inlet to the metal (silver) K&N inlet tube bent and shattered the tube. Be careful as the metal tube is very thin and easily deformed. I just used a non-ratcheting screwdriver, but in my eagerness to turn it down the tube bent. I bent it back and of course the nice finish came off when I made it so it looks silly but works amazing! lol. Sounds great, but

Good capture but not as advertised

Great capture for the price! You could spend twice as much and not do much better. 5 out of 5 for price, performance and sound. 3 out of 5 for appropriateness. The fit in my 2012 Cooper Countryman S was VERY tight. K&N could do a little more research and development on this increasingly popular vehicle. The new upper airbox is now touching the skin over the firewall and I had to remove the lower airbox by disconnecting its hoses to put it back in place. Not that hard, but it added an extra…
