Works with a cheap Harbor Freight soldering iron

If you file the corners of the ends a bit these nozzles will fit the Harbor Freight soldering gun. (Harbor Freight does not sell replacement tips.)

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • You could have gone for a newer model

Not the same quality as before.

Worthy replacement tips for a soldering iron. Not like the old ones the seller used to make. The kind of failure when things are made with quality and pride. Inexpensive and lasts some time.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Communication with the seller

Perfect replacement (Genuine)

Good for the seller's described model. But the cost is a little higher, later found at half price at the time of purchase, which satisfies the need. It will be a good use between electric romex for most people. This product was original not fake which was the selling point of getting it.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No performance

Poor quality of parts and accessories

I have had the 8200 gun for many years. Tips have always taken years to complete on projects around the house. Both tips broke after a few uses at the bottom where the copper connects the tip. Copper is a bad alloy. The electronic rosin core (master) has eaten its way into the box. Made in China? I will look for another provider.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Those are Weller's tips.

I've been buying these since I was a kid in the 50's and apart from being fully tin plated now (rather than bare copper) they are the same as always. I recently found an original Weller soldering iron. in a real estate sale (made in the USA) like I had when I was a child, cleaned up, put in a new tip and it works great. The best soldering iron ever.

Pros
  • Blade
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

You'll be breaking in no time!

They last about 10 very short soldering periods. You break in half and hope he doesn't tail you like I did when he decided to break in half. THIS IS VERY CHEAPLY MADE AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN EMERGENCY PAIR OR SOMETHING. TWO MORE OF THESE TIPS TOGETHER! THEY MAY WORK FOR 7200 AND LOWER BUT THEY ARE NOT THOSE FOR 8200 I PROMISE.

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • Flimsy

Are these tips working correctly and for long enough?

I bought these tips (2) for a fairly old Archer / Radio Shack soldering iron. I've bought several spares over the years and these are by far the most fragile, but I didn't have an alternative as I needed a stronger (hotter) iron than my soldering iron. I bought them for two pretty tough jobs and if they last long enough for me to successfully complete each one I'll be happy. Most of my soldering work is done with a "stick". I had to bend the ends of each leg to fit the archer. I don't know why…

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Supplies
Cons
  • There are new competitors
