Can be sanded or smoothed with additional process. RESILIENT: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) filament is one of the most common 3D printing materials used in the 3D printing industry. Recommended for high strength applications and it's also moderately flexible. HEAT RESISTANCE: Keene Village Plastics’ can withstand high stress and temperature. It's strength and moderate flexibility makes it a great choice for printing in 3D. Recommended optimal print temperature: 230oC – 250C. Optimal Bed Temp: 110C (PEI film recommended). Tolerances + 0.003” / -0.003”. LIGHT AND STURDY: ABS filament is one of 3D printing’s most popular materials, for several good reasons. It is a light and sturdy thermoplastic that has a long lifespan, good impact resistance, and flexibility. All filaments are vacuumed sealed with desiccant. Available in different sizes and colors. EASY TO USE AND WIDE COMPATIBILITY: Due to its durability, strength, and flexibility, there are several uses for ABS filament in 3D printing. Excellent Performance for Industrial 3D Printing

My analysis of this 1.75mm diameter filament showed that it produces high-quality prints with extreme precision. It is perfectly suited for industrial and scientific 3D printing projects. The filament is made of durable and strong ABS material which guarantees that the finished product will last a long time. One potential downside is that it can be slightly more expensive than other filaments in the market.

Pros
  • Exceptional quality, ideal for industrial and scientific use
Cons
  • Slightly more expensive than competitors

KVP filament works well

Even worked very well on my cardstock printer. With a 110°C hot bed and a 250°C hot end (I have a steel nozzle) my chamber temperature was 43°C and I never had the delamination problems you sometimes get with ABS. The actual thread has a stain. Looks nice. Also, it's pretty strong.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Arrived poorly vacuum packed and wet

On the one hand I was VERY impressed that the thread was shipped and tracked by Fedex about 90 minutes after I placed my order. Unfortunately I didn't check it closely upon arrival and waited until I really needed it. Now I see that it was badly sealed and when I put it in the printer steam came out of the nozzle. For me this can be recovered as I have a filament dryer although I will lose most of a print day. If you didn't have a filament dryer, you probably would have a nightmare spool (was…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
