Not AC Delco! Full checkout!

2 months kept, POS! Fits perfectly on my 1999 Suburban and is a complete POS! First of all, this is not AC Delco! Comes in a plain box and says AC Delco is nowhere to be found. This pump lasted 2 months. I still had the original pump code GFN so by no means did this pump only last 2 months!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Replaced twice in parts

I like to buy GM OEM parts when available. However, this does not apply to this POS fuel pump. Both pumps failed for the same reason. The float failed. It takes a lot of work to remove and reinstall this fuel pump. Consider a different brand this time. I ordered from another competitor. Revain only gives a 90 day guarantee. This time I get a lifetime guarantee.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Interchangeable

DEFECTIVE ITEM in Fuel Pumps & Accessories

Pump ordered special delivery and received as promised but unfortunately after 2 weeks I started having ignition problems. Gas filter and air filter changed, even checked the spark plugs hoping to find the problem. Never thought it would be a new pump. I had to completely replace it with a used one. I couldn't afford to buy another locally due to the cost I had to pay for the installation. If it fails I will definitely buy from local auto parts for a quick replacement.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Can't remember

Worked for 99 commuters

Had to choose between Autozone (comfortable) or AC Delco (many have heard that ACDelco products are better than Autozone). I chose ACDelco and my suburb has been running flawlessly for the past two months. Keep the fuel tank at least half full to avoid future pump problems. PS As for Autozone, I believe they give you a guarantee on the pump, but if you just don't want to deal with any problems, pay a little more and go to AC Delco. I have had good experiences with his brakes (gold series).

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Buy only AC Delco parts for Chevy!

After 2000 years it still pumps with the same pressure as new. Here's the fuel pressure you should expect to have when new: When the ignition key is first turned to the "on" position without starting the engine, the pressure should quickly rise to 60psi. At this point the fuel regulator will open and allow any pressure over 60psi to flow back into the fuel tank. After one second, the fuel pump relay turns off the fuel pump and the pressure drops to 50psi. When the key is turned to the off…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • High price

99 Straight Fit Suburban

I'm just not ready to give up my 99 Suburban. 280,000 km driven and so on. I decided to replace the fuel pump as it was noisy and the fuel gauge started giving me a terrible rebound. It had over 100,000 miles on it and I wanted to change it on my own terms, not after it broke down on the side of the road. It was a direct fit, no installation issues. I would recommend getting snap ring pliers and a fuel line disconnect tool if you don't already have one. I just changed the fuel pump relay…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Fits

Just bite the bullet and buy the best!

I love my 99th suburb just as much as I did when I bought it new. The Vortec 350 has been a real workhorse for me and has given me 300,000 (almost) accident-free kilometers. One thing I don't like about this truck is the fuel pumps. I have replaced 6 fuel pumps on this truck since 1999. A lot of people tell me this is a common problem with this truck, but here's what I've learned over the years as an owner. Don't try to save a few bucks by buying a cheaper pump, you'll end up spending more…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Modern
