I bought 4 of these to serve Interwebz in several entertainment centers. My house is big and even with 802.11AC repeaters only about 30MB will work, so I was hoping they would get better. Unfortunately, they are not synced over RG59 at all. I even put an adapter in the JBox that goes straight to the rooms I have to service and not a coax light. The only room I could get light in was served by a single 50ft RG6QS barrel. Please note that I do not run anything over coaxial cable. The HSI is CAT6…

  • ADVANCED SECURITY AND EASY SETUP. With the new MOCA Protected Setup (MPS) technology, you get additional security in your home network by being able to securely connect additional adapters. You don't have to reconfigure the router with the adapter.
Cons
  • No power

Works well with Verizon FIOS (with special configurations)

The house I am currently renting is not connected to Ethernet. My office computer is upstairs and the TV, servers, and Verizon MOCA router are downstairs in the living room. It's been a constant struggle to reach gigabit speeds at the top. I tried using two bridged 802.11AC routers. I've experienced spikes in latency and occasional dips. Powerline limits the speed on their gigabit adapters to 75 Mbit/s. After installation, these adapters supported a result of 750 Mbit/s with iperf. Finally…

Pros
  • INCREASED WIFI SPEED AND COVERAGE. With the reliability of a wired network, MoCA 2.5 technology upgrades your network for lower latency, reliability and more. MoCA adapters use the same coaxial cables as CATV or fiber optics.
Cons
  • Sad equipment

Fast and Reliable: Networking Products

I bought my first pair a year ago. I am very satisfied with their performance and reliability. You never give me trouble. The connection speed is great. With my configuration I can achieve over 900 MBit/s in iperf3 benchmarks. I heard there was a connection problem in its firmware. When the first pair arrived I immediately flashed their firmware to 2.11.1.10.6200.1. I never see problems with this firmware version. To cover all the rooms of my house I only bought the 2nd pair. Adapters arrived…

Pros
  • COMPATIBILITY — Compatible with any Ethernet router and virtually any device with an Ethernet port, including computers, Xbox 360, PS3, media streaming devices, digital audio streamers, and more. See below for incompatible devices.

Couldn't get it to work properly at first but finally figured it out!

So far I haven't been able to get it to work properly with my Comcast Triple Play X1 service. The Internet speed is very variable, the Internet connection is established but often interrupted for a few seconds. I'm not sure if these issues are related to the Actiontec adapters themselves, my Comcast service, or the wiring in my house. I will update this review if and when I can find out. So far neither Actiontec nor Comcast support has been very helpful. I'm updating my rating and changing it…

Flawless 4k vaping; Fast Gigabit speeds; Wonderful!

I will focus my review on a few questions that I had before purchasing. For some context, I have Comcast download 200 megabits, download 10 megabits. I bought this product to create a wired connection from my NAS to the NVIDIA Shield on my TV for video streaming, as well as a wired internet connection in another room across from the house. For both applications, Wi-Fi would be a big performance hit. I only use about 30 feet of RG6 coax cable. My setup was to replace my 2-way splitter with a…

USE THIS TO REPLACE YOUR VERIZON FIOS ROUTER

Actiontec Bonded MoCA 2.0 Ethernet to Coax Adapter (ECB6200S02) The main reason I bought this product was to get rid of my Verizon Quantum Gateway router . I recently upgraded my Verizon internet to their "Gigabit" plan where they run a Cat6 cable from the ONT straight to the router. So if you have an Internet-only plan, you can use any router you like. I recently upgraded my router to a Netgear Nighthawk X10 router and it was plug and play, no configuration required. Since I have a cable box I

See my picture for my detailed setup. I've spent hours researching the internet trying to figure out how to set up cable internet with a MoCA antenna and OTA (over the air) but never gotten any clear answers. I've seen many diagrams but none of them fitted my setup or explained it well. So I spent hours trying many different configurations and figuring out some details. First, here is the list of inputs I've tried to network/route: - Internet only from Comcast provider (NOT cable TV) - MoCA…

Fantastic Speed Boost

I've been using Wi-Fi in our home for many years, with very few problems to be honest. With several computers, iPhones, Apple TVs etc. we test its speed. We have 1 Gbps fiber to the house, which was great, but I noticed that the limiting factor (both for speed and latency) was the WiFi router. Walls, router location (basement), and bandwidth requirements sometimes cause problems. If I'm in a Zoom/Teams meeting and my son is in Rocket League, among other things, we might run into issues (my…
