Pin in Computers and Accessories

No offense, won't send it back and won't charge anything for it. I'm not really going to be splicing stars from Adafruit for this as I already had a cable to use, but Adafruit you should consider modifying your packaging of this and possibly other electronic devices with pins. Wrapping the ribbon cable around the cobbler resulted in the very sharp pins of the cobbler piercing the center of the ribbon cable, leaving some of the pins in a potentially fracturing condition. See the attached images…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Update Availability

Works perfectly! Styrofoam covers the pins during shipping

Previous reviews have noted that the pins were protruding through the tape when the item arrived during shipping. Apparently they noticed and fixed it. The pins are now embedded in a piece of foam to prevent them from piercing the cable. I ordered this to replace a broken ribbon from another company. This tape and cobbler works great.

Pros
  • Same as all previous
Cons
  • Exterior

Poor quality ribbon in Computer and Accessories

The quality of the cable is not very good. It is very difficult to attach and remove the ribbon cable to the cobbler. The top cap of the ribbon cable lug broke when the ribbon was forcibly removed.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Very helpful! in Computer Components

Good product. Screen printed labels are nice and big, bold and easy to read. The product is perfect for the Raspberry Pi 4 B. The pins were inserted into the styrofoam during transport to protect the product and the ribbon cable was included, everything arrived intact.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings, everything is fine

Clear screen print does best

I have used several different suppliers, they all work well but this is the best screen print. This makes it a lot less frustrating for new users.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Negative impression

Useful if you are using a breadboard

If you want to work with an RPi and a breadboard this is a "must have". This allows you to move your Raspberry Pi around a bit without removing individual wires from the breadboard. This gives really clear signal identification and makes the wiring a little cleaner than trying to run the cables back to the RPi itself. Alternatively, if you have more than one of these devices, you can leave the breadboard configured and simply remove the RPI connection while it remains on the breadboard.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not all pins are labeled correctly for the Raspberry Pi 4.

Cobbler works fine (still) but not all pins are correctly labeled for use on the Pi 4. This requires a cross reference. This makes the date go slowly and bounce back and forth. Obviously the Pi had to add 4 GPIO points. GPIO pins; 2,3,10,9,8,11 on the left and GPIO pins; 14,15,8,7 on the right side, not indicated by this shoemaker. These pins are named TXD, RXD, SDA, SCL, etc. Mislabeled GPIO pins work as per the PI 4 descriptions. It's not a showstopper, but it's certainly bulky and not what I
