Great hiking shoes!

A friend recommended the Ultra after I mentioned I was looking for a new hiking shoe/boot. I've only put 10 miles in them so yes they are brand new but they are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! The fit for my foot is perfect, they sit comfortably on the heel and sit great on the ball of the foot where many shoes are too tight. The shoes are light and very comfortable on the trail. I haven't walked through the water in them so I can't comment on their water resistance.

Pros
  • The lightweight design makes it comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
Cons
  • Bad cushioning

Loud shoes - my review

These shoes are too loud. It sounds like I'm walking on gravel or garden shavings all over the place. I don't care how comfortable they are if I can't just step outside and enjoy the sounds around me, including the silence, especially the silence without the constant crunch, crunch, crunch with every step I take. It's almost funny if it weren't so annoying. And they are not beautiful. I probably wouldn't mind the ugly ones if they weren't so loud. Too bad.

Pros
  • Debrite tov de Line Peak 4 is a remedy for dermatitis. Gevolg, little votes. spicy.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with wide feet

The shoes delaminate in my review.

Bought shoes specifically for the trip to Philmont. Outsole and toe split after 63 miles. All the demands of the weather are not true at all. As I walked through the wet meadow, my feet got wet. I would not recommend this shoe.

Pros
  • Useful for a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, trail running, and camping.
Cons
  • The heel feels loose during use

happy feet! - my new rating

I haven't had a pair of alts that I didn't like! They have an "e-vent" layer (like Gore-Tex)! Keeps my feet dry! Swap the insole for Xstance for more comfort. Yes, these versions of the Lone Peak Altra are available for $170 a pair! And after a few of those, it's probably worth it! But way out of my budget! Revan to the rescue! Bought the burgundy version too! The deal was to buy Burgundy Altras for $109. And use the rewards to get this gray pair for $32! Some kind of doppelganger! My son runs…

Pros
  • Comfortable enough to wear all day, even with a heavy backpack
Cons
  • Lack of stability on uneven surfaces.

Disappointing in my opinion

Ok, I've been warned in other reviews that durability is questionable, but wow! just 60 days before the finger started to exfoliate. I'm not even a trail runner, short gravel jogs on natural terrain like a competitive environment. Those 60 days for $180 are pretty expensive!

Pros
  • Incredible comfort!!!
Cons
  • Had to come back in bad shape

Perfect fit: my rating

Fits perfectly. I wear 11s but was worried they might not fit - they are really different shoes. dead in shape! Love her! High-quality construction with durable materials.

Pros
  • Quality construction with durable materials
Cons
  • Rubber soles come off easily

Al principio con duda pero calidad garantizada.

used for hiking. Wide toe box prevents damage to toenails (reason to buy) and comfortable fit. After first use, the grip seems to be slightly less than my previous Inov8 boots (see photo for tread pattern). However, at one point I went through a difficult muddy puddle.

Pros
  • I have a hard time finding shoes that fit properly, this one fits! I actually ordered 3 more pairs!
Cons
  • to narrow the back

Large reflective stripe in the middle

I don't know why manufacturers insist on sticking these reflective strips on things. I can order reflective pieces to wear if I want, but I can't take them off once they're sewn on. They have a huge reflective strip that runs down the middle of the shoe which totally ruins it for me no matter how good everything else is. Sent back immediately.

Pros
  • Excellent breathability keeps feet cool and dry during physical activity.
Cons
  • It takes too long to dry after getting wet

Not durable - my new rating

I don't usually write reviews and I love my Altra shoes, but after quite a strenuous hike, they started falling apart. I was very disappointed as I love sneakers.

Pros
  • The soft, responsive midsole provides excellent shock absorption and cushioning.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with plantar fasciitis.

Not the "original " shape of the foot

This version of Altra claims to have the widest/original toe box width in the shoe style. That's why I bought it. But when compared physically to my older Altras (men's Torin 5, size 9, Torin 6, women's size 10.5, and a plain pair of men's Altras Vihos, size 9), the widest part of the sole was a full 1/2 inch wide. 3/4 inch less. These shoes just couldn't fit me! But still, I loved the support this lonely picnic provides and the amount of pillows that are just right. previous sizing, these…

Pros
  • Engineered to ensure proper foot alignment and biomechanics
Cons
  • Very rigid and inflexible

The shoes were uneven in my review.

I returned the shoes. The left shoe lifted my toes, making me feel like I was leaning back, and put extra pressure on my heel. The left boot also tilted inward on the inside of my left ankle. The heels on both shoes were too thin and didn't provide enough cushioning when my heels hit the ground. Not the sturdy, secure walking and running shoes I expected.

Pros
  • The robust construction offers excellent protection against rocks and other obstacles.
Cons
  • Not suitable for speed training.

annoying sound in my review.

I had several pairs of alterations. almost everything I wear. This is my most comfortable pair to date. Unfortunately, they make a loud popping noise with every step. I hope they break and the noise goes away. Unlikely. Do not wear to work. Your colleagues spend the day in the field!

Pros
  • The durable outsole offers excellent traction on wet and dry surfaces.
Cons
  • The top mesh tears easily

Goodbye foot-shaped shoes

This was my fourth pair of Altra shoes. Whether trail runners, moccasins, road runners or hiking, I can rely on 13-foot running shoes. Til today. See image. On the right is my old shoe in the shape of a foot. On the left is the reviewed product. Both sizes are 13 as recommended by Revane. As soon as I saw her, I became suspicious. It's a tight shoe with a tiny, pointy toe that left me hobbling home with bruised toes on my first try. The advice to go a full size larger than any other Altra shoe…

Pros
  • Durable construction resists wear and tear over time
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with high arches.

Not as wide as the previous version

The length was correct but definitely not as wide as the last version. I don't know why a company known for their wide tires decided to go narrow again.

Pros
  • Helps prevent leg pain and fatigue after long hours on the trail
Cons
  • Uneven seams in some places

Revainrating 2 out of 5

These shoes are too small for the Altra standard.

I'm a big fan of Altra shoes. I usually wear size 11 Altra shoes, including the previous Lone Peak All-WTHR Mid Trail, and am very comfortable in them. Well... not here. This version of the Lone Peak is much shorter and narrower than the previous one, and the Altra foot shape is gone... Why Altra, why? I will try to order the next size up...

Pros
  • Provides excellent grip and traction on wet and dry surfaces
Cons
  • Some batches have an uneven size distribution

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Probably not the shoes I wanted

It fits fairly well and is light weight but I don't think this is the style of shoe I want for the gym as I find it narrower above the ankle.

Pros
  • The low drop promotes a natural running form and reduces stress on the joints.
Cons
  • Not suitable for runners with pronation problems.

I love Altras, but for $180 boots it's quite disappointing that the rubber toe cap has started to separate from the sole after only a few weeks of use. Also, the tread wears out very quickly, I think they could use a harder and more durable rubber. The laces are too long even if they are fully double knotted. I wish they had made these boots out of better materials, they would have been better hiking shoes if it wasn't for the poor workmanship.

Pros
  • Designed for both everyday wear and intense physical activity.
Cons
  • Not durable for everyday use

Good boots with one fatal flaw

BenefitsGreat natural foot shape to avoid slipping, rubbing, hot spots and blisters. Very convenient. Lightweight compared to pointy boots. ConShoe strings are approximately 30 feet long. This leaves loops that hang down about 9 inches even when double tied. You can tuck these loops in, but they'll come out, snagging on the laces of the opposite boot and causing your child to stumble 1,500 feet up the foot-wide path at Angel's Landing. Luckily shoelaces are made. made of crappy, flimsy material

Pros
  • Zero-drop construction encourages a natural stride
Cons
  • No ankle support

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Comfortable and durable, but with deep flaws

The shoes are comfortable and my feet feel great with healthy toes after long walks. However, these boots use lace hooks, which means they're not good for anything other than walking on fairly flat ground. When you're running or climbing a steep climb, don't trip and fall if the laces of one shoe get caught on the lace hooks of the other shoe. Even if you tuck your laces in, they might work like we do, or if you use zippered laces, it might still happen. The grommets and loops work great, but…

Pros
  • Offers excellent weather protection, including rain and snow.
Cons
  • Lack of durability for the price.

fell apart under 20 km

Worst alts I've ever had, they fell apart very quickly. In less than a week, both had significant numbers of their rear soles coming off making them dangerous without repair, which also failed. Comfortable with good upper materials and very light. They just can't take it at all. I love my Timp 3 which had a weak spot but stayed usable far more miles than I should be wearing a pair of shoes. However, stay away from them.

Pros
  • The low-profile design promotes a natural and efficient stride
Cons
  • The price is high compared to other brands
