Nice looking prints. not the easiest filament to use

I found that as soon as I entered this thread it produced a very nice glossy print. However, printing on it was much more difficult than on many other filaments. I had to increase the temperature to 220°C and lower the print speed to 2000mm/min in 0.1mm layers to ensure smooth extrusion. I swapped it out for a different material and went back to more normal settings with no issues, so it looks like the material is the problem.

Pros
  • Measures 9.2 x 8.3 x 3 inches (L x W x H); weighs 2.2 pounds; Backed by Amazon Basics One year limited warranty
Cons
  • Not sure

I just me bought my first 3d printer and it's creality v2 and i didn't know there were different size filaments, 1.75 and i think 2.75 was different. I bought three colors and this was the only one that was really right. It seems to be working fine, but I'm pretty sure my printer has custom air and I need to work on it to get it right and balanced or something. something like that. It's kind of a pain putting it together.

Pros
  • Made from PLA, a widely used thermoplastic material known for its glossy, satin-like finish, lower melting point and ease of use (no need for a heated table) as well as its low deformation, odorless and glossy finish
Cons
  • little things

Crashed right away. Wouldn't recommend it.

First run printer jammed just after first shift. I cleaned it and tried to print again and it clogged again after the first layer. I've printed with several other brands of filament (Giantarm, Hatchbox, Sunlu) but this was my first Revain filament. I had no problems with other silk threads like this one. I also had no further problems after that when switching to other threads with the same settings. I do not recommend. In case anyone is interested, I use Prusa Mini+.

Pros
  • Designed to reduce congestion; Resealable storage pouch included to protect filament between uses
Cons
  • New Competitors Emerged
