FE Solid Safety Bracket

We mounted the bracket on the wall in our RV garage. It's been exposed to harsh road vibrations but seems to be holding up well. This is a very solid unit.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not sure

Will not fit 5 " extinguisher

I'm only giving this two stars because it fits a 5 1/2" extinguisher and not the 5" that I have. Finding the right bracket for my fire extinguisher was more difficult than it should have been.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Big and bulky

No pin to hold fire extinguisher

No pin to hold. Very disappointing. I need to install them on field machines and I need to install the chain on the bracket and attach it to the pin. What are these people thinking?

Unfortunately I bought it to use on the deck of my pontoon boat (large commercial boat, 35ft x 10ft). With the splatters and splashes I get from salt water it has deteriorated to the point where it needs to be replaced after 1 year. The main body of the bracket is fine, but the latch and latch are rusted and…

  • boring packaging

Why isn't everything needed for a safe installation included?

Amerex created the device I need as a licensed family carer - a sturdy bracket that secures a fire extinguisher to prevent it from being hit by a ball. What they didn't provide were fasteners, anchors or pins to hold the extinguisher in place and I can't tell you how frustrating that is! Mine is still not on the wall after two months. Where can I find the correct PIN? I would appreciate it if Amerex would contact me for assistance in sourcing the required items and include them with each order…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
