The two-piece bracket doesn't fit well and I had to drill it out a bit to get the screws to fit properly. The threading is also poor and you have to be very careful not to over tighten the screws. First of all I cannot understand why there are pictures showing this item mounted on the cab side when it is a bumper step! Confusing! Let me tell you that I am not a mechanic and this is not required. This requires an inventory of mechanical tools.
