Please measure your nuts before purchasing

There appear to be 2 different models of the D550, each with different specifications. But NOWHERE on the information page there is no indication of this. So when they say "Fits D550" they mean 7/16 bore nuts, NOT 5/16. Obviously these attachments do not fit the 5/16 model. WHY the company used the same model number for two different soldering guns is beyond me. And the person who created this page DID NOT KNOW that there are two different versions of this model number? Uh... apparently not.

It would be helpful to share the wattage

For those of us with old soldering guns the model numbers are interesting but in many cases we need to know the wattage range of soldering tips. This information always makes sense when you show a model of what corresponds to what. However, not all model numbers are listed. I have two soldering irons, there is no glue on the decals, but I would venture a guess that one is 100 watts and the other is 200 watts. These are also the providers of these tips. Works perfectly! Best in Welding and Soldering

This held up and works great for my Weller Professional 260/200 watt D550 soldering gun. It took a little time to bend the tip properly but neither the description nor the pictures show that it comes with nuts/bolts and you obviously can't pre-bend it as then you won't be able to thread the nuts/bolts. If you want them pre-bent and with nuts/bolts you can find them, but you pay TWICE more and only get 1. And for the price and 2 of them, there's NOTHING to complain about. This is for a Weller…

I didn't bother with my last tea and didn't understand why it wasn't warming. I re-tightened it and tried tinning it again but to no avail. I bought them and so far they are working great. Now when I use my soldering iron I actually tinned and cleaned the tip like I should have done all along so they should last a while. The new ones heat up quickly. I used my wattmeter and the final tip was to not use many watts at all. The new tip is very close to the actual output of my soldering gun at low…

Poor customer service

I ordered this item for my Archer 100W model 64-2193 soldering gun. I received the product and tried to put the nozzles in the iron but they didn't fit. I bent it a bit and adjusted it, but it couldn't get hot enough to melt the solder. I just called support and asked for tech support. They said no. She told me to send it back but I left it past the return date. She advised me to look at your website and I did. I couldn't find any help to get the right advice to get my hardware working. JUST…

Reduce Heat Loss Fumbling Time

Original Quality Note. Aluminum and copper hate each other electrically. Cleaning soldering gun tubes is difficult, but it has to be done. Cut a piece of metal bracket with wire cutters, bend one end at a 90° angle, it should be snug. Cut the bent leg so that it is just barbs. Otherwise it will not enter the hole. Run the wire up and down through the aluminum hole. It takes about 30-40 strokes down the barrel to scrape the aluminum oxide. I close my eyes and blow into the hole to clear the…

Great upgrade if you're willing to make some changes

My old Weller soldering gun used thinner soldering tips. See comparison photos. I saw a YouTube video about hot rodding an old Weller soldering iron. The video states that the larger diameter Weller 7250W tip is used instead of the Weller 7135N tips. **Important** If you choose to do this you can also order a Weller 7135N soldering tip kit which comes with mounting nuts so you have an extra set. You will need to change the mounting nuts to accommodate the larger 7250w handpiece. I used wire…
