I love the ease of changing the filter in this pump. I have horrible water here in northern Nevada and this pump is doing an excellent job of keeping the atmosphere in my tanks clean.

Great filter, does exactly what it's made for, I really don't know why people say it's loud, I can't even say that this thing does is switched on. Sometimes it's better to try something yourself. BIG FILTER. WILL DEFINITELY BUY AGAIN. What you hear in the background is the fan which I have very loud but the filter is very quiet.

Not very crowded but next to our bedroom so we wanted it quieter. The propeller started rattling after a day, but I read online how to disassemble it and coat the magnetic propeller with unscented petroleum jelly. I was skeptical, but now the engine rumble is NOT audible AT ALL! The water is a little noisy but fairly calm.

I have a QuietFlow LED PRO Aquarium Power Filter 30 in a 35 gallon bow tank. I added a pre-filter and a custom-sized water purification cloth instead of the standard filters. Tiny bubbles bursting on the surface of the quiet air pump are louder than the QuietFlow LED PRO Aquarium Power Filter 30. Very happy with the purchase.

This filter is amazing! I installed it with no problems and it's very quiet! I bought a spare filter sponge to put on the intake pipe as fish stick to it. They fit him perfectly, I really recommend buying them. It still has an amazing flow rate and has cleaned my aquarium better than my other filters.

I have the same filter but 20 gallons (which is totally silent) and when I first put it on it made an awfully loud grinding noise, I was shocked, but it distributed the water properly, so I left it alone for a couple of hours, and gradually the noise died down. It's still not quite as quiet as my other one, but this tank isn't in the bedroom so you can touch it.

Something must have changed in the quality of these filters. My old one was much quieter than this one. It definitely attracts water and filters a lot of crap out of my tank, but I'll throw it out. The hull around the engine is of very poor quality, it fell apart after the fish hit it several times. I disassembled and reassembled it several times, the quality is not very good. Not seller's fault but not good for a bedroom.

I have kept fish for many years and this brand is the most reliable I have found. Simple, reliable and inexpensive. What I really like is that the filter mat holder is designed in such a way that you can cut the bulky filter mat with scissors and use it instead of cartridges. Much cheaper in the long run. I prefer to use two smaller filters per tank. So if someone breaks, no big deal. The second will do its job until I order a new one. The downside is that they tend to get noisy after a few…

The good thing is that this filter is very powerful and circulates a lot of water that does great aeration and cleaning. The downside is that it is a very expensive service. It uses a single replaceable filter cartridge that collects all of the water and clogs very quickly, limiting water flow to the point where water actually fills the back of the filter and flows through and around the filter cartridge without actually being filtered.
