Perfect for Porsche 987.2 with 2.9 liter engine

Fits filter housing for Porsche 987.2 with 2.9 liter engine. This is a heavy duty filter wrench that fits perfectly on the filter on my 2009 Porsche Cayman 2.9 liter engine. Unlike a Porsche wrench, this wrench attaches to your 3/8" ratchet. This is a very durable, high quality tool that will last a lifetime. Save $50 off dealer price and order this wrench for your 987.2.

  • Certified
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

The right tool: Oil filter wrench

Works exactly as it should. I went to a few auto parts stores that had this tool on the shelf. Some have claimed to have worked on a VW but failed. I tried probably 4 different AutoZone OEM's and then gave up only to switch to Revain like I really should have for the right tool. This product works great on my 2013 Passat 2.5. If you have money to spare I would recommend getting a filter drain tool otherwise it will be a mess after you pull the filter out.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

Good product! One of two tools needed to change the oil filter

"Part 1" is a filter housing drain tool that screws into the bottom of the housing. , which seems like the obvious choice to me to remove the VW 2.5 liter oil filter housing cover when replacing the paper filter element. and you're probably attuned to the life of your VW (and the next one and so on). A good product.

Pros
  • Fair performance
Cons
  • No instructions

It fulfills its task, which is necessary for an independent oil change.

This is the correct wrench size for VW 2.5L CBUA or CBTA filters. If you want to change your oil and you have a VW with one of these engines (Golf, Jetta, Passat, Beetle etc) you will need this wrench or something similar to get to the oil filter cartridge. This key is solid metal and should have no problem surviving a fleet of cars. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it tends to stick to the filter housing when I'm using it. You can remove it with the wrench extension you used to…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Fits 2013 VW 2.5 (Passat)

I have two 2013 VW Passat 2.5 liter engines, this key/nozzle fits both. It's a must-have tool in your garage when changing the oil on these cars - the strap wrenches don't bite the plastic filter housing well enough to remove it, which is kind of odd. a size I could not find on local car networks. I insisted on getting it in the car after the first oil change, I had to use a couple of channel locks to take it off like a strap wrench. didn't get a good grip and I couldn't find an outlet like…

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Some trouble

Oil change MK5 Jetta 2.5L - fits perfectly

This socket saved me. 4 days ago I started changing the oil on my wife's Jetta MK5 2.5L. I used to change the oil at one of those chain oil change places and they must have got the gorilla to tighten the oil filter canister! That night and the next day, I visited four different auto repair shops and tried different wrenches and other oil filter removal tools. Tools (strap wrenches, aggressive jaw pliers, etc.). Nothing worked. The ring spanner 74/76 15F simply slipped off because it had too…
