The perfect home phone for your parents!

Easy to use and set up. Instructions are not required. The phone is easy to use. VERY loud phone speaker, nice big buttons that make dialing and reading easier. Audio support for the phone - for people with hearing problems - this is a big plus. Caller ID is bright and clear; just as easy to read. The phone is well made and worth more than the $20 I paid for it. Stepdad doesn't hear well and has no problems with this phone, no more yelling! Mom can see numbers and options on her phone withoutโ€ฆ

I'll be right back - doesn't work as a wall phone.

I am in urgent need of a new corded wall phone. I chose this one because it is made by AT&T and claims to be wall mountable. I'm 60 years old, over the years I've had many, many phones. I've never seen anything like this. It has a 2 inch square piece for the back that is meant to act as a wall mount. It has only 1 screw hole while the wall mount has 2 (top and bottom of the bracket). With a hole, it moves terribly and also stands out ridiculously against the wall. A photo is attached. Looksโ€ฆ

Disappointing good phone for office electronics

Plain old fashioned phone with large keypads. Batteries inserted, connected, instructions followed. The first problem is feedback. If the phone is not turned on at the lowest volume level, simply lifting the handset will result in severe feedback to the handset. (The speaker was definitely off.) Contrast is very poor; If you're buying for an elderly person or someone with a limited website, the phone itself will be difficult to read at best. No backlight. But the main reason I'm bringing itโ€ฆ

died 2 months later. NOT RECOMMENDED.

I bought this phone and used it for 2 months. Rarely used, less than 1 call per day on average, less than 10 minutes of use per day. I mainly used it as a speakerphone when talking to support. No rough treatment, no children, no abuse. Now he's dead. Suddenly. And no, it's not the batteries or a line failure. There were no power surges in my house (it runs on batteries anyway). Luckily, I have an $8 Chinese-made phone that I keep as a backup. The Chinese phone is ugly, yellowed, over 10 yearsโ€ฆ

Not perfect but very cool

Hard to find a wired speakerphone! This one isn't perfect, but it works great and meets most needs. First, I like that it doesn't require a battery for the speaker. I recently ditched all Dect cordless landlines around the house to reduce EMF exposure. We have regular corded phones installed in all rooms, but I wanted at least one of them to be hands-free. It needs a battery for the LCD but NOT for the speaker. Second, I need a speaker that actually works as well as my iPhone. This one fitsโ€ฆ

Works great - Landline

I've had this phone for a few years I think and I like it. The only criticism is that it didn't come with an instruction manual. You have to download it online. I keep a download on my desktop whenever I need access to it, which doesn't happen often. Only if I forget how to clear the call log. This feature is not intuitive at all in my opinion. I had to memorize how to do it to avoid having to refer to the manual. The rest works very well, the sound is crystal clear. And the buttons have hugeโ€ฆ

volume options. It's also handy to dent the speakerphone button on the bottom right, so I like the phone itself. The bad news is that it's outdated tech, runs on batteries, and doesn't light up at all. Pros: Cheap and high quality phone. Good communication quality. Can be as loud/quiet as you want. touch sensitive - Large buttons make dialing easier Cons - Powered by 4 AA batteries - LCD screen and buttons don't light up, meaning you can't see anything in a dark room - Caller ID has an 'unknown

Current production of this phone has a common issue

I've had one of these for a few years and it works great. I recently bought another for another room in my house and found that its internal clock function was losing time many minutes a day. Thinking it was a defect with my new purchase, I sent the phone back and asked for a replacement. The replacement did the same! Then I saw what was going on: with every incoming call, the phone clock was one minute slow. The more calls come in, the greater the loss. This is clearly a design flaw. Doesn'tโ€ฆ

Does what I need but has some quirks

This phone had everything I needed in terms of features that not all phones sold here have. Wall - no AC/DC power required - detachable cord from handset to phone so I can replace it with a longer one - ability to adjust ringer volume including ability to completely mute the ringer Additional comments: ---- - ---- -- ---------- Some people have complained in reviews that the phone's speaker doesn't work or is too quiet to hear. Mine works fine but I put new batteries in it. Maybe that was theโ€ฆ
