🚪 TMS Automatic Door Bottom: Neoprene Bulb Seal, Heavy Duty, 1" Drop, 32 Inch Length - Fully Mortised Solution Review

After accidentally receiving a 32" wide unit, I contacted Revain and received the correct 36" wide unit which I ordered within a few days. After installation I noticed that the seal does not retract after opening the door. Very disappointing as I was able to put something on the bottom of the door that drags along the floor when opened. So I take the door off, remove the seal and replace it with a better one that actually works. Total waste of time and $.

I just received this and am very disappointed. I wanted it to be as cool as it looks but I don't see how that would stop the drafts. Once the door is closed and the metal bar to which the neoprene seal is attached is lowered, the draft from outside simply rises and covers the bar. There is a tiny gasket at the top of this metal rod, but once the rod is pushed down, the gasket doesn't come into contact with anything. I even called the manufacturer but they couldn't convince me it would fit me so

Wow, it was a headache to install, but it works and looks great! I live in an apartment building and I can't change the look of my front door so this was the only viable alternative to those cheap foam door brushes. The construction seems very solid and the mechanism is smooth - no one will know it's there unless I point it out. Just remember that you need a solid door and professional tools.
