Dipole antenna Review

Works exactly as advertised on my old Grundig AM-FM radio! The old antenna was bent and broken so you need it for good FM reception!

Pros
  • Feel Good
Cons
  • Clarity

Works very well: Accessories and supplies

I had to strip the ends of the wires to fit my stereo but it did the job. I honestly don't know what the factory tips are for, since I haven't seen such antenna cans before. I might be pro-TV or whatever, but FM does it surprisingly well. It doesn't work like a big antenna on your roof, but it's a lot better than homemade junk, and it's cheap!

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Good but not great

This can be seen in the picture.

Can pick up local stations with a decent OK signal. Can't pick up a station about 60 miles away that I'm receiving on my car stereo. The radio reception is significantly better than with the supplied cable antenna. Worth the $3.25 I spent. You need 5 feet of space to use it. I have a 50 inch cabinet for my TV and stereo. Used pins and attached them to the back of the closet.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Almost never

Too much time spent on repairs. Broken on arrival

This antenna had one or more shorts from the start. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out where it's failing because the signal was literally cycling on and off. There's not a lot of copper in there, and trying to melt the sheathing was the only way to strip the wires. I finally got it to work by redoing both ends and the middle - so I could track down the wire for the antenna and make it myself - in fact I made a second one to look the other way. In between I have a stable…

I have previously rated this antenna only 3 stars.

I only gave this antenna a 3 star rating before because I didn't know how to use it. I wanted to hook it up to the clock radio in the bedroom but I couldn't. Axis actually reads their reviews and offers a full refund. Now I'm not only giving the antenna 5 stars for customer service; I originally bought this antenna because 1. it is flexible and 2. it can be wall mounted. Before that I bought a rectangular hard plastic antenna and it didn't work well because I kept knocking it off my bedside…

Cons
  • Contact Seller

Works well, inexpensive and connects to vintage gear

I needed a dipole antenna for my outdoor setup, fed by an old Pioneer SX series receiver. It is in a sheltered place behind the house under the porch. In other words, this is one place where it's quite difficult to pick up FM signals, particularly those to the left of the analog spectrum where I parked the tuner. I've tried some homemade setups, just different lengths of wire, and got a normal response when I wanted to tweak (attach that wire to the bike spokes, run that parallel to the house),

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Short but works great

Affordable and works. Maybe a little longer. Currently I don't see an accurate description of the length of the wire before it splits in two. Looking to the eye, this seems to confirm what is listed in the product listing for probably the same product from another supplier on Revain, "Parts Express FM Dipole Antenna": It's about 5.5 feet long before it separates across the top. chemical warning. As far as I can tell, this is the relevant section (taken from the Revain page linked to this…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
