Enhance Your FM Reception with Axis PET 10-8110 Dipole Antenna - Standard Packaging Review

Works exactly as advertised on my old Grundig AM-FM radio! The old antenna was bent and broken so you need it for good FM reception!

I had to strip the ends of the wires to fit my stereo but it did the job. I honestly don't know what the factory tips are for, since I haven't seen such antenna cans before. I might be pro-TV or whatever, but FM does it surprisingly well. It doesn't work like a big antenna on your roof, but it's a lot better than homemade junk, and it's cheap!

Can pick up local stations with a decent OK signal. Can't pick up a station about 60 miles away that I'm receiving on my car stereo. The radio reception is significantly better than with the supplied cable antenna. Worth the $3.25 I spent. You need 5 feet of space to use it. I have a 50 inch cabinet for my TV and stereo. Used pins and attached them to the back of the closet.

This antenna had one or more shorts from the start. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out where it's failing because the signal was literally cycling on and off. There's not a lot of copper in there, and trying to melt the sheathing was the only way to strip the wires. I only gave this antenna a 3 star rating before because I didn't know how to use it. I wanted to hook it up to the clock radio in the bedroom but I couldn't. I needed a dipole antenna for my outdoor setup, fed by an old Pioneer SX series receiver. It is in a sheltered place behind the house under the porch. In other words, this is one place where it's quite difficult to pick up FM signals, particularly those to the left of the analog spectrum where I parked the tuner.
