Apparently pure stainless steel can warp when exposed to heat in the oven. It needs aluminium, which is found in most commercial products. I put it in a 430 degree Fahrenheit oven with the chicken on the rack and when I took it out the baking sheet was warped. It will flatten out and snap back to its original shape after a few minutes, but why would you want a baking sheet that curls up in the heat of the oven?

For $25 they are a lot better quality than I expected. Nice and thick, they are flat and won't warp in the oven. or at least they haven't yet. The mirror-like stainless steel finish is beautiful and helps ensure it's non-stick. Grills are pretty difficult to clean, but they carry the food far better than those that just come with sticks, so this is a trade-off you have to consider. They are beautiful, durable and of excellent quality. The first night I cooked veggie quesadillas on it and they came out delicious, fried on both sides and crispy. I have a very small oven, I can't fit regular sized baking sheets and it makes me sad. I've had them for a few months now and am buying another set not because there's anything wrong with them but because they are perfect. They are not heavy or flimsy. I think the mirror surface will probably scratch easily. I've only used them once and nothing has burned or stuck. They are definitely worth their price.
