Excellent Ender 3 Mod

This X axis belt tensioner is a perfect fit, plenty of range and allows me to quickly adjust. The need to adjust is on rare occasion but I like the convenience.

Pros
  • Widely Used
Cons
  • It may not be compatible with certain types of filament

China QC and sub par materials

Sizes are not close to standard. And the idler geared pullies are not even even. Both idlers are off center. Leads to the belt being too tight, then too loose. Don’t buy. I’ve had better quality from Aliexpress.

Pros
  • Efficient and easy to use
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with all versions of Creality firmware

GET THESE! on my review.

This makes belt tightening SO DARN EASY! stop the headache of layer shifts and Z banding right here and now! Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • As written in title
Cons
  • The tensioner may cause unnecessary stress on the x-axis belt

Excellent build quality - Ender 3 v2 install a snap

I purchased these replacement tensioners for my Ender 3 v2 since the stock plastic parts had started to crack and fail. These are very well built and easy to install. Exactly what I needed. A word of caution for Ender Extender 400 v2 users, the X gantry tensioner may just barely fit and pull the belt tight, this may be due to the different length belt but it doesn't have much room for adjustment.

Pros
  • Significantly reduced backlash
Cons
  • The tensioner may not be as effective on printers with large build volumes

Super Easy and Necessary Upgrade

Before installing this product, I had to re-tension my Ender 3's X axis frequently. It was always a hassle to remove the rightmost pulley and move it outwards. The tensioner was super easy to install and allowed fine adjustment of the belt. If you still have and Ender 3 and haven't purchased the V2, buy this product!

Pros
  • Fits a wide range of 3D printers
Cons
  • The tensioner may not hold the x-axis belt as securely as other options

My package arrived without the blind nuts (pictured as part of the included hardware, but not in my bag). No problem, I have plenty of M5 bolts on hand. But of course the holes are for M4. I'm not going through returns again, been doing that a lot lately with too many damaged products. I seem to get unbreakable things in boxes with cushioning, but precision or expensive items sent in plastic wrap envelopes. Anyway, about an hour or so to drill everything and clean off the debris and oil and…

Pros
  • Cost-effective upgrade
Cons
  • The product may not work well with larger prints

Needs work to function properly

As it was didn't work well or slide well it would pull back crooked etc it turns out the small insert was threaded I think they used the same insert from the x axis version once I drilled the threads out the entire inner section moved freely it works wonderfully now and no belt noise

Pros
  • Provides consistent tension
Cons
  • It may be difficult to find tutorials or resources on how to install the upgrade properly

Buyer beware in my review

This is misleading af but here u go.The 2 pack that insinuates that they will fit ender three does not fit the ender three. It will work for 1 axis but not the other.🤬🤬🤬

Pros
  • Good product
Cons
  • The product could wear out quickly, requiring frequent replacement

Really Solid, worth getting over printing a home made one

I've printed a few belt tensioners and find they slower ware down or full break mid print. Fantastic to have a full metal one in place, super solid and a really good upgrade. Would fully recommend as a nice inexpensive upgrade to your printer.Printer: CR-10S

Pros
  • Improves print speed
Cons
  • It may not be worth the effort for printers used infrequently

Perfect fit.: my feedback

Best purchase ever! I purchase this for my Ender 3 Max and it works great! Super easy install, great fit and works great. Is a must for every 3d printer user.

Pros
  • These make it much easier to properly adjust the belt tension on me Ender 3.
Cons
  • The holes on the item I received do not fit a 2040 rail.

must have upgrade for my opinion

got them for my ender3 and never knew how to properly tighten the belts on it. got these to fix that. they were easy to assemble and install as well as put a steady tension that hasn't seemed to loosen over time.

Pros
  • Helps prevent layer shifting
Cons
  • The upgrade may not be a significant enough improvement to justify the cost

Works for Longer LK5 Pro

A little modification, ie: removal of 4mm from the gantry side of the x axis and these work perfectly for the Longer LK5 Pro

Pros
  • Enhances print bed adhesion
Cons
  • The product may interfere with other printer modifications or upgrades

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good overall.

Pretty easy to install. Aluminum construction is better than a printed tensioner in my opinion. I would recommend this upgrade for anyone with an Ender 3 Pro like mine.

Pros
  • Provides a more consistent print quality over time
Cons
  • The tensioner may not hold up well to frequent use

Works with longer lk4 pro by modding

I got these to upgrade the non-adjustable and kinda flimsy X and Y axis' on my Longer LK4 pro. The Y tensioner goes on with no changes and is strait forward. The X axis though required some simple modification to make work perfectly. As it arrives the off side contacts the right side gantry frame. So I had to cut approximately 4.8mm off of the end so that it would allow the bolt holes to line up with those already on the X axis frame. I know this part is probably designed for creality style 3d…

Pros
  • Runs more smoothly and efficiently
Cons
  • The tensioner may cause additional vibration during printing

Perfect for Ender 3 Pro

I originally had a tensioner I 3d printed. I thought it worked surprisingly well and it did.until it didnt. Woke up to a ruined print:( Decided from then on that for any kind of structural component I would go with an actual metal part. I like the quality of this version its not just stamped sheet metal but an actual beefy part. Also like the wuality of thr toothed sprocket (another reviewer stated rhat havjng two sprokets like this on the same belt would lead to premature earing as they…

Pros
  • Package Include
Cons
  • The product may affect the printer's overall aesthetic

Some tension makes things better!

I used this belt tensioner for my CR10S printer and after carefully assembling it and installing onto the printer it allows me to immediately adjust the Y axis belt, as necessary. Every printer should have one of these. If you don't have one, get one.

Pros
  • Good product. You can achieve the same results manually, but the headache is not worth. Great upgrade.
Cons
  • The tensioner may require frequent adjustment, which could be time-consuming

Perfect fit for my Ender 3 v1

Made from steel and fit perfectly on my ender 3 V1. Added both belt tensioners to my ender 3 V1. Good quality and easy install. Disconnect your belt and loop thru the pulley, then reconnect the belt back to the slot and tighten screws to add some tension. Once screws tight, dial additional tension from the device.

Pros
  • Worked great for my Longer LK5 Pro. Had to modify slightly to make it fit.
Cons
  • Not durable or built to last

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly. best in my review

Assembly is rather easy, not sure why they went with small washers between the idler wheel and bracket instead of a true bearing. That little washer was easy to get into place on the 2040 design, but not on the 2020 design.

Pros
  • Increases printing accuracy
Cons
  • It may not be compatible with all types of printer beds

Works on an Ender 5+

These replaced some home-printed tensioners off Thingiverse. These are smaller and required no alterations to use. They replace all three belt x-y tensioners on the 5+, the factory ones are deficient in design, mine started bending at an angle after several months of operation. For the 5+, the 2020 version worked out of the package, short side and long side mounted. Best way to mount is to slack the belt, remove one end from the carriage hook, snake that back through the old tensioner, remove…

Pros
  • 3D Printer Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • The tensioner may not be as effective as simply tightening the belt manually

Pretty good best in my review

Works pretty good. Install was a slight annoyance. You have to remove the ball bearing pulley there are 2 washers. Becareful they will fall out and are very small. They are sandwiched in-between the ball bearings. A little grease or tape can help put them back in place.

Pros
  • Reduces wear on the printer's components
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with all types of extruder systems
