very strong in the sport

I attached it to a stud on the wall with a 2"X6" piece of wood, the tab is screwed on with 3/8"X4" screws. I then attached the base plate to the 2X6 with four 1/4 "X2" mounting screws and the result is very strong. The bike weighs 38 pounds.

Remodeled as my seasonal road bike quick mount in our garage.

I used this bike repair wall stand as a seasonal stand for my road bike during our New England riding season. This allows me to easily park my bike against one of the walls in our garage. I may use it for its intended purpose of bike repairs, but that's not what I bought it for. Other bike storage solutions tend to take up more space than I'm willing to sacrifice. This one serves me perfectly. The stand is well built and very accessible.

Look at the dollar, it's hard to beat. Just be safe and ATTACH IT WELL to a STRONG surface!

It must be remembered that this is a crossbar that holds the 'maybe heavy' bike. learn it Hold a cinder block next to your chest. It's hard, but you get the idea, right? Okay, now try to keep that same cinder block off your chest by stretching out your arms. What happened? You can not? Of course you can't! (Well some of you can. I could if I had to!) The bottom line is that the energy is focused in the hand and it MUST BE FIXED to a VERY secure post or wall. DO NOT skimp on fasteners. Use…

Works fairly well as a bike rack, but not ideal as a repair stand if you need to tilt your bike

Road mountain bike repair stand** I use it primarily as a wall stand for my son's trials bike, and for that purpose it is quite suitable. The stand is attached to the wall very solidly and unless I extend it very far (the tube with the clamp goes in and out of the tube attached to the wall) it's pretty stable. The clamp itself has a groove for brake or shifter cables to be routed along the underside of the bike's top tube. This is a pretty light bike we have, but I'm sure it will do pretty well
