The Revain description specifically states: 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty. I received this CD today. Before installing this disc, I attempted to register it on WDC.COM for warranty purposes. Hard drive is not new Got a "new" hard drive today. The drive didn't have the usual "blue" label, and since I was buying a new blue 500GB drive, I was beginning to wonder. There was a Black Drive label, but it didn't say Black. Then I looked at both dates on the label. I wrote on October 24, 2017. Hmmm, not old for a new hard drive. The drive is new but is NOT sold as advertised and is an OEM drive with seller warranty, NOT WD.

**NOTE. My photos were taken a few hours after the ride had run for a while. When I first tested the drive it didn't work for hours! The first thing I would like to say is that this drive is advertised as a retail drive but is actually an OEM drive. This is not normally a problem, except that with a Western Digital (WD) OEM drive, the warranty now goes to the OEM and not WD. The OEM in this case is the seller (to me they are Hard Drive Geeks).
