Really well done: spare parts

I put a friend on Tacoma, they fit perfectly and are very well finished. Disgusting brake design from Toyota but the Bosch pads worked great.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons

Bosch brakes front and rear.

I am an ASE certified mechanic and have been using Bosch parts of all kinds for many years. Very high quality parts and a very large part of the company's profits go towards financing a children's hospital in Germany.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Functionality

Decent brake pads.

Yes those are brake pads, they suit my application and seem to do what they're supposed to do - stop (that's good). PLEASE NOTE THEY ARE NOT SUPPLIED WITH THE HARDWARE. I know a few but make sure you have the hardware kit if you plan to buy them.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some errors

Good quality pads

Easy replacement, except for one thing: the knurled pin that secures one end of the bottom limb of the shoe was too big, probably due to installing the cleat by stripping the back. I had to enlarge the hole in the link to fit it. It's ok but added 30 minutes to the work. Incidentally, the brakes work well after the automatic adjusters have done their job and the correct clearances between the pads and drums have been achieved. Take photo b4 and take off your old shoes!

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Useless features

Good brake pads so far. My only complaint about this product is the brake pads. It doesn't even include the minimal horseshoe clips needed for the brake to work. You will need to purchase at least four of these clips if not the entire brake drum service kit with all new springs, clips and guides. I switched to all Bosch brake parts on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma after having problems with squeaking from other brands. The Bosch has been excellent so far with good stopping power and no squeaks.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Nothing

The pads seem strong but all the pads I've bought are the same. This shoe, like all others, doesn't contain the simple little C or horseshoe cleats that you really need for good braking. It's just not worth reusing old ones. NAPA has a 4-pack for $1.29, you need all four for a 2009 Toyota Tacoma. Brake pads don't really brake very well. I have not found original spare parts better or worse than BOSCH, Wagner, Centric. I don't know why Toyota keeps using them but they do and why I have great…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • repair
