I have not found this filament to be as brittle as some other transparent filaments unless it cools. The transparency is very good and so far there have been no knots during unwinding. Here is more information about the transparent thread and the problem of brittleness. Only the last few inches of the spool become brittle and it's easiest to unload the filament and just snap off the brittle part. White PLA does this too and is easy enough to bypass.
