Reliable stand at a great price

I've tried different stands but couldn't find one that fits the center mount on the underside of the bike. Of course, mountain bike pegs are avoided and most people will tell you not to buy them. In fact, it's handy and I prefer to have it. This is a great product and very durable. Although it only snaps at one point, it doesn't move as intended. The frame on my Overdrive Sport 27.5 is oval shaped to help it stay in place, but I find it should work just as well on most frames. The spring action

Absolutely overrated - proper installation is a pain!

Like some of the other reviewers here, I also had a "doesn't stick properly or stay in place" issue - as reviewer "busydad" notes below in his July 1st review, look at that Product video from companies, and you can see how the rack dangles even when installed. I use my footpeg on a Schwinn Vantage F3 and ended up using a piece of old bike inner tube as a spacer between the footpeg clamps and chainstay and it finally worked. With 4.5 stars from over 2,000 reviewers, it seemed like a no-brainer…

Builds confidence (if you have oval chainstays)!

Just installed. I must say; the thing inspires confidence. It fits my Fuji Reveal 2.0 like it was made specifically for it. This is done for oval shaped chainstays. It really should be said with more emphasis in the description. I can't imagine mounting this on a round or square profile chain. Customization is really quick and easy. The foot is nice and wide, which allows it to be used on any surface except the loosest. I've tested it on dirt, grass, my sloping driveway and of course flat…

Better than expected, great product! Love it!

Let me start by saying this is a great, sturdy, well built, long adjustable footpeg that fits perfectly on my son's XL mountain bike. I was very impressed with the design and how detailed this item was - more than I thought for the price I paid. My son is approaching 6ft when he is only 14. So when we got him a bike to ride to school I insisted he get an XL as he's going to be even bigger. He has a 27.5" bike and is perfect for the Nishiki Adult Alamosa 27.5" mountain bike at Dicks sporting…

Footrest for a bike that cannot use footrests

I recently bought a bike and one of the main components that I like are the footpegs. Okay, I also like the brakes and wheels, plus a good seat. but a kickstand is high on my list of bike must-haves. But the bike I bought didn't have the usual free space to mount a standard footpeg and the shop owner said these bikes can't be footpegs. HA I bet he only said that because he wasn't thinking ahead and BV Bike footpegs weren't available. So I went online, found these rear footpegs, read all the…

Good quality though.

I'm using this on a bike frame with a tapered chainstay. That means it gets slimmer and tapers down as it nears the rear axle. This stand doesn't accommodate that taper very well (it will eventually move back and weaken as it does). The included nylon/rubber pads to protect the frame finish either do not help or may aggravate this situation. My solution was to wrap the chainstay in a rubber material (like wrapping a drop handlebar). It doesn't take much time; The contact length of the footrest…

Worked when others didn't!

So the more you pay for a bike, the less chance there is of a footboard. The arguments against it seem to be the weight and wear and tear of the frame. I prefer not to put the bike on the ground. I just got a nice new touring bike and needed a side stand. It didn't include a center mount (I hate center pins anyway) so there wasn't a 2-leg model. The chainstay and seatstays were too far apart for the two-point contact rear suspension to work due to the disc brake interfering. I was on the verge…
