So disappointed, good for food containers

Didn't work for me and I'm terribly disappointed. I always have a lot of cheese at home. After all, I live in a dairy state. Didn't help protect it from mold and keep it fresh. I've used it for Parma, Cheddar, Foie Epi, Gouda and a few others and it doesn't matter if it's soft or hard. It doesn't matter whether it's cow's or goat's milk.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Secret

I love them - we have two of these!

We received one as a gift and were definitely skeptical. But it worked and really helped clear out our cheese box and use up all the little bits. So we got the second one and use it for soft cheeses - yes, it works great so ignore the label directions. We store both blue cheese and plain soft cheese in the same warehouse without any problems. No wrappings, raw cheese, both hard and soft cheeses. Now we buy as a gift! And our cheese box is much cleaner and tidier, it also saves plastic, foil…

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

MY CHEESE WILL BE MOLD IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS! POOH!

I bought two of these thinking it would save space in my fridge. We love a lot of cheese so we decided to give it a try. I wish I could only buy one because now I'm stuck with two and they don't fit me. I put in just a block of cheddar and it was completely moldy in less than two weeks. Pooh! It was a terrifying sight to see all that fluffy mold on the good cheese! The old method of wrapping in plastic film worked better and was cheaper. I tried to save the environment by not using as much…

  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Useless features

Doesn't work best for storage and organization

Not sure if I have a bad pad or what but it just doesn't work. I tried this with 3 semi-hard cheeses and all 3 started going moldy after 7-10 days. Stored in a ziplock bag or standard Tupperware container, these cheeses will typically keep for over 30 days. I suspect it's because the lid doesn't quite fit - since the vault is made of flexible rather than rigid silicone, it's not *perfectly perfect* rectangular, leaving the tiniest gap between the lid and the body of the vault. I had high hopes…

  • Feels good

Will not work - food container

A bit small but a good container for cheese.

First of all, I had no idea that storing cheese is so difficult. I'm trying to use less plastic bags so I was looking for a good way to store cheese. I don't buy fancy cheese at all, just regular pieces of cheddar from the grocery store. I cut blocks for a handy snack and need a container to store them. I've tried different types, all with their own pitfalls. Plastic bags are wasteful and the cheese tends to go stale. I tried a jar of Rubbermaid Brilliance (they are amazing) but the moisture…

Pros
  • Reusable silicone sleeve reduces plastic waste; Mark the end of the container with a ballpoint pen to clearly mark the contents and the date
Cons
  • Long time

Great idea, poorly implemented

This is an AMAZING product! None of my cheeses have gone bad. The reason for my overall 4 star rating is simply that it is NOT big enough. I would buy ten of these if they were a more practical size for a family of 4. Busy households use a lot of semi-hard cheese for sandwiches. Kids don't want to go through the trouble of cutting a thin slice off a piece of cheese. For example, round slices of cheese (I buy provolone) don't fit in a box. The box isn't high enough to hold a stack of discs by…
