Updated -- I'm ordering a replacement for a coffee grinder I bought two years ago for which the rating was below. It broke right out of the box and didn't even grind the beans. The weird thing is that the internal grinder looked different, although if you look at the Capresso website, the production there hasn't changed. It's been a week. Yes, some coffee is wasted after each grind - maybe around 1-2% of the total. That's to be expected, so I'm not sure what people are complaining about. I've had this grinder for about 11 years now. It changed the taste of coffee a lot, along with the Jura coffee maker I bought around the same time. It's incredibly reliable and does what it says on the tin - grind beans. I think having 11 years speaks volumes about its durability and how it's doing its job which is why I'm giving it 4 stars.
