fit and finish are missing. I would recommend checking the threaded holes prior to installation as they are not clean and the "chrome" is of poor quality. Attempting to screw in plastic adapters will result in cross threads and an unusable adapter. The bends are offset slightly so that when the Original Equipment engine cover is installed, the pipe touches. Rotating the intake manifold puts stress on the plastic adapters and MAF sensor wiring. Easy installation! Installing the kit took about 35 minutes. The instructions were clear enough. Just a minor issue with the ground wire attachment point, but it only took me a second to figure it out. Installing the filter was very easy. I decided to buy this air intake, I knew it wouldn't improve performance, mostly not. Sure, this reduces airflow restrictions, but it doesn't compress the air. It arrives in two days with a primer, it takes 15 minutes longer to fit the thermal protection and attachment points than it should have. First off, K&N really needs to do something to make installation easier and easier. There are too many pieces in this puzzle. I think this product works best in combination with other mods. Let's say you want a stronger exhaust sound, let's say you have some kind of cut. Most of us choose TRD. But maybe you want more sound (from both the rear exhaust and the front engine) and the TRD CAI is too expensive at $400? In that case I think it's ideal.
