The belt is so strong when the power steering pump is seized.

The belt is so strong that when the power steering pump got stuck on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler the pulley ripped off the pump. I'm not even mad, I'm actually impressed! I have ordered several of these and they will stand up to any abuse you put them through.

Pros
  • Great design

They seem to last longer and are quieter

Perfect fit and quality! I MUCH prefer these cross groove belts to the traditional type - they seem to last longer and be quieter. I've been using these straps since they were made under the Continental brand (formerly Goodyear Gatorback belts) and none of them have let me down or disappointed!

Great product for belts, hoses and pulleys

I used to have Gatorbacks and they are the best belts in my opinion. They never creak and last long and long. I just installed it on my 3.8 '08 Jeep Wrangler and expect it to last 100,000 miles before being phased out as a spare. Due to the unique design, it does not creak. The quality can be judged on closer inspection. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not bad

As does the alligator design that looks like it's taking over.

The other day I installed a belt and seriously updated the one that replaced it. As does the Gatorback's design, which looks like it has a really good grip on the pulley. My other belt came off and broke into pieces, so I appreciate a better quality belt. The belt runs smoothly and quietly without squeaking when the car accelerates.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Continental V-belts are the best!

Always used Continental V-belts. I bought a used 2010 Jeep Wrangler where the previous owner had just replaced a different brand belt. Constant screeching and screeching. I replaced the Continental belt with this one and now there is no sound from it. My experience with these belts is that I don't have to worry about them for many, many years! Thank you Continental!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

High quality belt and unique design; Complex installation

Fits Mazda 5. This belt has been improved over the standard OEM which had cracks and frays in many places. The continental belt was thick and strong; most likely will take at least 100 thousand. Now about the installation. I can repair cars and have changed many belts on many cars in the past. On the Mazda it was a nightmare! If you don't have an assistant, I don't recommend this. You must turn the pulley tensioner AND turn the crankshaft pulley to tighten the belt; make sure it doesn't slip…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Weight
