Works great on my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am

After servicing the manifold gaskets I seem to have rebalanced the alternator a bit and as soon as it got cold my belt started to squeak. I got a new regular belt and it squeaked too. So I got this belt and it fixed everything!

Pros
  • SAE spec
Cons
  • Can't remember

More winter squeaks

I had a belt squeak and this product fixed it. The creaking intensified in winter, he seemed to chirp when he started the car and disappeared after a few minutes. Very annoying. These straps are recommended for such conditions. This product will be called Goodyear Gator Back carriers, which were also great carriers. I don't know why they changed the name. I paid €26.17.

Pros
  • New construction and compound improves durability for longer, quieter rides
Cons
  • Available in black only

OK. there was a cheap garrulous belt.

Good. There was a cheap talk belt on a 2003 Chevy Malibu. Many websites have said that a chatty belt is a symptom of some brands and this will solve the problem. Oh well. Didn't make any other changes after testing the water and confirming it was the belt and not the bearings etc. Immediate repair at any speed. Don't bother with cheap belts, it stinks, this one costs a little more but it's worth it.

Pros
  • Provides high-altitude strength with shear strength
Cons
  • Frequency

Chart fitting is not suitable.

I always check the kit before and after the parts arrive in the Philippines from Revain Warehouse Deals and almost fainted when the kit list said they wouldn't fit. The parts at Warehouse Deals are for my 2001 4WD Sport Trac so I really don't understand why it doesn't fit my truck now! Went to other vendors setup tables and this FITS my truck. I also compared it to the old serpentine belt and it's exactly the same length so I'm very happy it's ok now.

Pros
  • Continental is an original equipment manufacturer for millions of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Cons
  • Compatibility

Better elimination of squeaking noise in parts

For the most part this solved the squeaking problem I had with my 1997 Ford Explorer. a low beep you hear can if you really listen but I very rarely hear it.I haven't tried any other brand so I don't have a comparison but I suspect the very slight squeak I rarely hear could be a belt alignment issue, not with the belt itself. But to make a long story short, I agree with this belt and I'm glad it got rid of almost all the noise!

Pros
  • 6-rib, 86.5" ribbed V-belt
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other parts

Fits 2003 Chevy Malibu 3.1 v6

This belt is the best yet compared to what is available in auto parts stores. I've spent a few hours tinkering with belts after having belts from AutoZone, Orilley, and Autoparts let me down. My car has a slight misalignment on a rebuilt 3.1 v6. I kept hearing a loud squeak while driving and it was annoying, so annoying I spent $200 replacing pulleys I don't need because the squeaking continued until I replaced the belt with this serpentine belt. If I knew this type of belt existed, I could…

Always pay attention to belt length

Just a few months after changing the belt, I started hearing a horrible squeaking noise under the hood of my 1999 Ford Explorer. Thinking it couldn't be the belt, I went and replaced the tensioner arm and idler pulley. I started the engine and the horrible squeaking returned. I read something and realized that even if you go to a parts store and tell them your year, make and model, it doesn't mean that the strap options they offer you are the same length. I went ahead and replaced the Dayco…

easy install and belt was as advertised

Bought this belt in October 2016 and immediately installed it on my 2002 Sport Trac. Correct size, easy installation and the belt was exactly as advertised. Fast forward to December 2017. I'm driving and suddenly out of nowhere I hear a loud and fast knocking under the hood. After checking, I found that the strap was beginning to loosen on one side. The knock was caused by the threads coming off the belt getting tangled around the fan shaft, knocking snot out of anything that came close. This…
