It's really worth the price!

When my teenage brother asked for Copic Sketch markers for his birthday, I was surprised at the price and wondered what made these markers so special. But after looking at the beautiful illustrations he's done since I gave him two sets (Perfect Primers and Pale Pastels) last May, I totally get it. He has been using these tokens for several months now and there is still no sign that they need to be refilled. He says they are very comfortable to hold, easy to work with and the ink dries well.

Great markers! Slightly darker than the box but still great

Original Copic Sketch Markers received, brand new and filled with ink. All springs are in perfect condition. These are great markers if you're looking for reusable alcohol-based markers. Like most alcohol-based markers, they bleed through thin paper. Including color samples (tested on normal computer printer paper). As others have pointed out, some colors are slightly darker than the sample on the box. Lavender (BV0000) and Light Turquoise (BG11) are very good.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Excellent markers! I've done some work with these markers and love them! They are very smooth and blend well with my bad marker paper. That being said, I can't stress enough the importance of good paper. This is the key factor in seeing the quality of your copics. However, the best of the best can cost as much as markers. Anyway, the only thing I have is that in the photos, the markers in the set are a bit more concentrated than they really are. But again, the set is called Pale Pastels for a…

The standard Copic markers are a good set to start with.

Nothing really new for regular Copic users but if you're a beginner like me you have to start somewhere so I started with a basic set. You have to start something. They are not visible through Strathmore marker paper. The colors are vibrant and I love the brush marker on one end and the chisel tip gives you such a wide spread of color. They will definitely bleed through any coloring paper, so make sure to put at least 3-4 sheets of carbon paper underneath so they don't bleed onto the next piece

Copic Earth Essentials (B41, B45, E34, E39, YG13 & YG17)

I've wanted the 6 pack of Copic Sketch Earth Essentials markers for months. Copics are expensive so $24.99 for six markers was a bargain for me and I bought a pack. The colors in the set are B41 (Powder Blue), B45 (Smoke Blue), E34 (Roasted), E39 (Leather), YG13 (Chartreuse) and YG17 (Grass Green). B45 seems to be the juiciest marker. out of the bag and B41 seems less wet. I've used the two Blues the most so far and already have a feeling I'll need a B41 refill soon. My non-professional take on
