Works great on Gen 1

Works great on my '81 Corvette. There are no problems with the 383 engine in the car. I recommend. Mechanic all my life. Now a 50+ year old retired ASE mechanic.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Worked great for spare parts

Product worked very well. I may never use it again, but it's worth the money. Has nothing to do with the item itself, but use a 1/2" drill bit to rotate the pump. I burned my 3/8 inch drill bit without understanding how much torque it takes to turn the pump.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Long wait

Worked on a new boat engine sbc

oil pump drive installed and turned on. Allowed me to bleed the oil system, line up the oil pump drive so I could mount the manifold on the stand. Since the distributor cannot get in or out of the boat once installed, this was very convenient.

Pros
  • shines
Cons
  • Some faults

TOOL FITS 4.3 CHEVY BLAZER-2002 - OIL SHAFT ALIGNMENT.

TOOL WORKS GREAT!. SAVES LOTS OF ANXIETY AND FRUIT - (YOU MAY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN - LOL) WHEN PULLING OUT THE GROOVE ON THE OIL PUMP SHAFT. COMPARED TO USING A PAN SCREWDRIVER. USING TOOL ON 4.3 CHEVY BLAZER-2002. DISTRIBUTOR INSTALLATION. MAKE IT VERY VERY EZ. SAVE TIME. VERY VERY EZ TO USE. THE TOOL MAKES THE JOB THE PERFECT JOB. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Quick instructions

Two tools in one.: Replacement parts

Used the tool to fill a remanufactured 283 V8 engine after the engine was put back on the car. The job went fine, but if you do it again the engine will fill up before it was in the car simply because it would be easier to get. Also, use a tool to align the oil pump shaft with the distributor when installing the distributor so that the rotor is aligned with the #1 spark plug wire and the #1 piston is at top dead center with both valves closed. The top of the pickup tool shaft has marks that…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • For old
