Cool waffle!

Quick and easy, nothing bothers you! The instructions were easy to follow. The manufacturer recommends cooking on level 3, but for those of you who like waffles to be a little crispy on the outside, like me, use level 4! They have a little extra that comes out with the waffle when you pour the batter on top (see picture), but you can always cut it off. I use it as a little waffle maker when I have kids around the house! Thanks Im Yuna for the suggestion!

Great!: Waffle Maker

I argued for a few months before I bought it. I make my own waffle pancake mix so I was worried I would have to adjust too much to make this work. I was wrong. I didn't have to adjust my recipe at all and the waffles turn out perfectly, no mess every time. I haven't had any issues with leaks at all and my batter isn't thick so batter isn't a problem. The only thing I can think of is that people don't wait for the green light before using it. I had no problems and I had it for about 3 months. I…

Thin batter and uneven cooking

I've made some delicious waffles on this thing and they bake better and faster than some of the cheap options I've had before. But what I didn't know is that because it's vertical I'm limited to just making waffles and mostly easy because if I add more than mini chocolate chips it clogs up and doesn't cook properly. I've tried grilling the sandwich by holding it horizontally for a second, which works, but I should probably get something horizontal or something flipping. Worst of all, part of…

excellent waffle maker best in kitchen and dining room

Before I decided on the Cuisinart vertical waffle maker, I did a lot of research on different types and brands of waffle makers. I couldn't be happier with my choice. This is a great waffle maker! Easy to use, makes great waffles and doesn't take up much counter/storage space. It's very easy to make perfect waffles; Just make sure you use the measuring cup that comes with the waffle maker first. Once you get a feel for how much batter to put in, you can use any measuring cup. The main thing is…

I am SO sorely disappointed with this product

I am SO sorely disappointed with this product! The vertical design seems so smart, but it just makes it very difficult to use. Remember that the thicker your batter, the less likely it is that you will be able to pour it down the spout. I had to try to stuff it in with a knife - then I had to add milk to the batter to make it thinner so I could pour more in. Even when I do this, the batter drips down the outside of the machine (why the included spoon doesn't have a built-in spout I'll never…

Great for saving counter space but bad for making waffles

I bought this particular waffle maker after someone I know got the same thing and made great waffles with it. I don't know what happened to mine, but it doesn't quite do what it's supposed to. My biggest complaint is that I can't make a whole waffle with it. I've tried different types of waffle batter - both mixes and from scratch - and the end result is the same: the iron seems to fill to the brim, but somehow I end up with half a waffle every time. If I thin the batter with water to make it…

Works great and easy to use/clean

Fantastic Belgian waffle maker. Easy to use and just works. We used the standard box/pouch pancake mix (you just add a bit of butter in addition to the water you need) and a real Belgian waffle mix (egg + oil + water). The Belgian mix is better in my opinion, but the kids like the pancake mix version too. I've found that the highest heat/cook time setting (#5 on the dial) works best. We love when they're crunchy on the outside, which #5 handles, but stay soft on the inside, which is perfect. If

A happy husband loves his waffles.

I'm hesitant to give 5 stars as this is my first time using the waffle maker tonight, but my experience has been great. I think I'll update this later and change the star rating if needed. Made 3 waffles today. The first time I thought my batter was runny and I used the #3 setting recommended in the owner's manual. Shot #3 wasn't clear enough, so I made a different one. We put on number 4 and increase the dough. Oops, too fat! The dough only advanced an inch, so drop it! Nice for the third…
