More of a "medium sized " light over a high tech planted aquarium

Bought the 36" version of this light to fit a 22 gallon AquaMaxx aquarium (approx. 36" x 12" x 12") to illuminate. - from another online seller (while the sale is ongoing). The remote control is ok, not great, but it works - you could program the on/off time with no problem. I love the sunrise and sunset effect. My biggest issue with the T5 is that this light doesn't deliver the kind of performance I'm used to. As a result, my clover grew taller and showed four leaves instead of one - otherโ€ฆ

seems to work well with a heavily planted 30 gallon

Seems to be working well in a heavily planted 30 gallon so far. Now try to install the carpet at a depth of about 18 inches. Let's see how it goes. I contacted the seller for PAR reviews and they didn't answer me. If they answered consumer questions I would give 5 stars. Quick comparison based on internet research: with Ecoxotic E-60 Full Spectrum LED, 24 inch Specification comparison: SAME for both parameters: Comparable if not equal based on. EDIT: See attached images since Amazon removed myโ€ฆ

Decent light with some annoying qualities

Overall this light works very well. Bright, lots of color options and programming, and it has some cool effects. But there are a few things that really bother me now that I've been using it for a while. This is a 24 hour light with daylight settings and moonlight settings. . I used the built in timer and currently have the moonlight off as the aquarium is my room and I don't want the lights on all night. But there are still times when I like to turn on the moonlight when I get home to check out

Ideal for aquariums with plants. Very well built. Highly recommended!

This light is PERFECT for an aquarium with dense vegetation! This is actually the second time I have bought one of these devices. For my 75g and 46g aquariums. PAR levels are high enough to support most light intensive plants, but are not harsh or overbearing. Love the almost unlimited possibilities of color temperature, tint, time and intensity. They're so thin you won't even notice them! I used to use a wooden canopy to cover the lights, but now I don't even need it! The aluminum body keepsโ€ฆ

A bit pricey but if my plants are ok it's worth it!

Bought this light before Finnex 24/7 came out. It is expensive (twice more expensive than Finnex). But reading other reviews it seems that Plus Pro has a higher PAR than Finnex. I can program an individual power level by controlling the RGB lighting separately for 8 hours. The addition of an inexpensive timer also allows me to take a 2 hour "siesta" to help with algae control. I thought this method wouldn't work because I'm turning off the controller, but the battery in the controller will take

  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine

Best value at $199, needed a little modification

I had a previous iteration (non-pro from 2012) of this flashlight in the 24" version and loved it so I decided to try the 48-60 inch version on my new 45 gallon (48 inch long). Day 2 after planting, and Monte Carlo/Anubias nana petite starts to pearl and blisters appear on all plants, making them look healthy (even after arriving in the post, slightly yellowed and sad looking). I can already see new growth springing up. I had to change this light with another product I received from Amazonโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Design flaws, used light and terrible customer service response time

48-60 inch light looks good, has great features and great potential, but I had certain quirks. the issues that made this purchase a 1 star for me. First, two design flaws related to the ramp. Inexcusable is a morning buildup, beginning out of darkness (or moonlight) with a bright white flash before accumulating. The whole point of ramping isn't to shock the fish, but "camera flash" does just that. That's a huge design flaw. Another problem I ran into is that the ramp times (up or down) areโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Big and bulky

So I wanted to clarify what a lot of people are asking and no one seems to either get the question or get the wrong answer. Firstly, this LED light is amazing. Its intensity can be turned up and down, there are customizable modes if your mood for your tank is thunderstorms or overcast, and it has a sleek design overall. I think anyone who wants to brighten their lights should go for this model, and here's why: This model has a dual ramp timer that lets you dim from dawn to dusk and *and* toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
