Great investment in hub assemblies

This is a great investment in your trailer. Advice for you to install them. Just take a small amount of grease and lubricate the outside of the bearing guard, then you'll find a bigger head. I think a 1 1/2 head is the right fit. Align the bearing guard and move the seat into a position where you can hit the seat with a hammer and insert the bearing guard. Apply some lube and you're good.

The quality control in this part is SERIOUSLY lacking.

later This protective bearing grease (as others have said) is slightly off spec - enough to make it impossible to do without damaging something. The part diameter mentioned should be: 1.781 inches, but they are 1.7845 inches and 1.785 inches, respectively. I hope this review will save someone else the trouble of wasting their time and money. Instead I use Bearing Buddy.

Don't be a sucker: Bearings and Seals

Wrong size ordered. Then I remembered that I had recently ordered a pair that I hadn't used (same brand) and they were the right size. At least that's what my caliper said. Tried it with a hammer, didn't help. Attempting to smash them in with a regular hammer using a block of ultra-high molecular plastic for protection didn't work. I tried making more bevel on the leading edge, it didn't help. I've tried tapping the armature directly and gradually hitting it harder and harder, didn't work…
