Disappointing Performance Car Starter Replacement

The starter I received for my automotive project was a big letdown. As my tests showed, it did not have the power or consistency I was expecting. It made me question the quality of the product and whether it was truly compatible with my car's system.

Great starter and price

Mounted on Mariner 40hp 1993, great fit and price. I had to get a replacement because it seemed like the shipping company dropped it off a 100ft cliff, but I got my replacement 2 days later and it works great

Came out after 3 uses but got a replacement.

Item was packaged in a retail box shipped in another box with some packaging materials and arrived undamaged. The starter was identical to the OEM starter and cranked the engine 2-3 times with no failure. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I just received it and can't comment on long term performance yet. TO UPDATE. I have used the boat 3 times (up to 12 starts) and the starter has lost contact with the flywheel. I used a different battery and bypassed the solenoid to be sure. It shouldโ€ฆ
