Bought this larger door for my 4.5 lb poodle (believe it or not). We put the smaller one in and he was scared of it because he had a hard plastic door that could smack his bottom when he walked through it and he didn't like it dragging down his back when he got out. It was clear plastic, which I think he would appreciate. However, this is a softer vinyl door with a matte finish. Don't get it on Cats

so slide locks are a pain. When my cat leaves, I lock her up so other cats can't come out, but I open her up so she can come back in. It is in order. But if it comes back, it's a problem. First, the magnet keeps falling and the door will eventually open, defeating the purpose. I glued it. As soon as he comes back I lock him on both sides so that everyone is in the yard for now. Ouch.
