Great as an air compressor aftercooler. Used this for air cooling for a CNC router. The fan is quiet and the workmanship is solid. No leaks. Use an old PC PSU to run it and a thermostat so it only runs when needed. Mounted with ports down, with moisture trap and drain on each side.

I have a 7.3 diesel with 4R100 gearbox in my Ford E450 based camper. My gross weight is 14,000, so the gearbox gets a little warm in the mountains. I installed it as a secondary cooler and it brought the temp down significantly. What I appreciate most is the automatic thermostat control. I adjust the light so I can see when it turns the fan on and off.

I ordered this product a few months ago while collecting parts for a recent race car I am building. Having all the parts in place and finally starting the installation my attention was drawn to when I cranked the new engine to build up the oil pressure my block came with a cracked core and was spilling gear oil. NOT impressed. The thermostat is leaking and will not turn on the fan. Please ensure you keep an eye on your pressure gauge before trusting this device to work out of the box. Mine hit 210 degrees, then I had to turn the thermostat to cool the transmission. I didn't have any cooling issues before installing this cooler, but I'm planning on pulling something and wanted to upgrade. So much for this idea.
