Second bad fan in a row.

The fan moves the air just fine BUT this is the second fan I have bought and the second one starts to make a loud rumble, screech or squeak. I'm done with this company.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not sure

Thing is cool (or shit) and worth every penny

Lots of air, rigid frame. Connect "low" to temperature switch, "high" to AC switch or manual switch. Not as thick as the Flexalite Black Magic in my case and moves as much or more air.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • old

Toss a coin to find spare parts

The fan died after about 1 hour of use. Until then, that would be great. Highest CFM I have ever seen in an aftermarket electric fan. As a puller he was strong enough to do engine cooling and condenser fan replacement on a BMW 540i. All that work of installing and 1 hour of use (probably less) was frustrating and I may have just gotten a bad one, but I wouldn't buy again.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Best High Performance Dual Speed Fan for Chevy 350

Installed on Chevy Blazer with SB 350 engine. This is a two speed, very high RPM fan. Fan with thinner protection on the radiator side. I removed the original metal fan and installed it as a direct replacement. Wired to a low speed so it turns on as soon as the engine starts (e.g. when the engine fan starts spinning as soon as the engine starts). Connect the high speed to the 190(on)/180(off) thermal switch mounted on the intake manifold. Uses two separate relays for each speed. Rarely shifts…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Disappears

4wheelonline TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The fan was very easy to install but I had many problems with the Derale dual fan controller. I bought for my 1973 Dodge Dart which has 500hp. If I knew what I know now, I wouldn't spend money on a controller. If you drive a car with a lot of horsepower, just connect both fan wires together and you have a switch. I couldn't return the controller due to POOR customer service from 4Wheelonline. Terrible company to work with even when Derale customer service said they would authorize a return and…
