Hot Knife Through Oil

I had a project where I needed to cut 4" sections of 1" diameter rear steel tubing. like 40 of them. They should be cut square. I set this blade in my miter saw at the angle I wanted and got to work. As long as you're careful about what you're doing, this blade won't disappoint.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Ok for the most part, but...

Just Cut It suitable for grinding wheels and grinding wheels

First use. I'm glad I tried. Cut a few pieces of 1.5" square metal tubing and cut a 60 1/4" aluminum flat bar 3" thick and 3.5" long. cuts much faster than rip saws and leaves a much cleaner edge. Very happy with the purchase. If I need another one I'll buy again.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Negative impression

easily cuts everything

I cut aluminum, steel, two by four, everything is very simple and accurate. The woodcut quality is so perfect that no woodcutter blade can match the smoothness of this blade. It's a little slow, produces lots of sparks and smoke (when cutting wood), but the end result counts. Really a very nice blade.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Damaged

Cuts cleanly and easily

I have no idea how long this type of metal cutting blade lasts; with teeth are 5 times more expensive. For my needs (cutting out legs on a metal bed frame) the durability didn't bother me. I thought a DeWalt branded product would work well, and it did. Cut through four 2x1x1/8" metal supports like butter. A little deburring with an old pocket knife and you're done.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Cuts all types of metal I've encountered

Cuts great especially with oil for non-ferrous metals that grind rather than powder. It also requires good ventilation if you intend to use these things frequently! In the end it's worth it if it's only enough for one big project. seen.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • everything is great

Not for Aluminum Deck Railing

May have been purchased incorrectly but for cutting aluminum deck railing and railing sections with my miter saw. In short, it didn't work. It was very difficult to cut, and felt like the aluminum was melting instead of being cut. If you need to do this type of job, use a general-purpose blade with a standard carbide tip or a large-toothed aluminum carbide blade. Maybe it works better for thinner ferrous metals?

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Nothing

For use on non-ferrous metals

I bought this to cut hoops for whiskey barrels which are steel and ferrous metal. The blade struggled to cut through tires, made a clean cut, and wore out immediately. It probably works well with non-ferrous metals, which are softer, but don't buy it for ferrous metals. for your information. Ferrous metals include mild steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and wrought iron. Non-ferrous metals include aluminium, brass, copper, nickel, tin, lead, zinc and precious metals.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
