It works well and is pretty easy to use. I had to cook something at a constant temperature for 4 hours. I borrowed this one and one from my mom (a different brand). It had easy-to-use alarms and a constant and accurate temperature reading. My mother is dead. I'm scared to give it to her but she just gave up her courage. I'll probably buy her one of these to replace. Hm.

I grill A LOT. I have used many meat thermometers and they have all been the way they are meant to be stuck into meat during cooking. I was skeptical but opted for the thick ribeye steak. I used the pre-programmed Medium-Rare setting and set the target temp to 145f. I decided to increase it to about 142, knowing it would continue to heat up off the grill. It only sat for a few minutes and when we cut it in half it was PERFECT. Needless to say, this is the only one I'll be using from now on!

Very impressed with the look of this unit. It looks very stylish and modern while working without any failures. My only real complaint is that you have to be careful where you touch the screen to wake it up, if you touch it to wake it up and you have to go back to where you want to be...
