Not impressed. The description says leather but it looks cheap. Its center is nylon but feels odder spongy/rubber than I expected. My expectations weren't very high considering the price, but I don't trust my dog with this collar - I have a feeling it could burst at any moment. I do not recommend. Unfortunately, the line loop is made of a very weak metal that breaks easily. Our young lab blender pulled (not very hard) causing the metal to bend and it pulled away, freeing it. We were lucky that he had already responded to voice commands to stay, otherwise he would have run into the street. I have never had this problem with any other collar. ***UPDATE*** The collar fell apart once but I liked it so much that I bought another one. Unfortunately they use a new supplier to manufacture their product and when I bought a new collar the quality wasn't that good. Returned without problems from the seller. This product arrived on time hence I am giving 1 star. I expected this collar to look like the photo; smooth, almost shiny, soft but tight smooth collar with a cool bird attached to it. I love rolled leather collars for my dogs. I have used them on collies, westies, goldens, piers and bought them for my two goldendoodle puppies. My dogs wear collars all the time and the rolled leather is much more comfortable against the skin and doesn't knot the fur. I gave these collars three stars because they are really average. I don't know why but rolled leather collars are SO DIFFICULT to find these days. I love them but they are great for shaggy hair (no tugging/tangling!) but I don't know of a better training collar either. With flat leather or fabric, the extra width seems to dull the dog's senses, allowing them to comfortably pull as hard as they want. But the rolled skin is strong and offers a much more subtle restraint, allowing Fido to really feel it when he's down or running forward. He's certainly soft…
