Fits As Expected - Braking System

Definitely not the easiest accessory to attach. I needed several attempts. The connectors are very close together, making it difficult to do this once installed. I recommend connecting the lines before installation. The notch is quite large and difficult to remove. So make sure you have tightened the auger clamp before attaching the hose. Also apply some lubricant to the top of the dome before installation. I was hoping this would prevent the toilet from constantly leaking water. It helped a…

Part-time camper - brake system

valve received on time. Installed and everything became functional with it. Last weekend we went on a 3 day hike to test everything that works properly. The OEM valve, on the other hand, had a threaded brass cap at the bottom so you could open it and service it if necessary. This has a black plastic cap glued to it, making it impossible to service anything with it. I'm old school and prefer to be able to fix things, if only temporarily, when I'm on the road and can't get replacements right…

The valve works fine. Delivery time was faster.

The valve works fine. The delivery time was faster than expected and the price was fair. The only problem was that one of the new mounting bolts supplied was half broken off and could not be used to mount the valve. I had to use one of the original mounting screws to complete the installation. The assembly instructions indicate in bold that the original screws should be discarded and the new screws provided in the box should be used. However, I had to install the valve at the time in order to…

Will freeze and crack in winter even if you insulate.

They used to have a metal plug at the bottom but all the new ones are made of thin plastic where they can't be unscrewed and replaced with a metal plug. Moreover, even with antifreeze and flushing the lines with air, they will freeze and crack in the winter. There is no easy way to remove water. I have now replaced 5 (my van has 2 toilets) of these and will now be forced to replace my toilets with another brand. I'm tired of turning the water back on in the spring and having a massive flood in…

I just had to order another one of these. .

I just had to order another one. The black plastic cap tore again over the winter. This is the one spot where antifreeze isn't going when preparing for winter. The cover is a proprietary part and cannot be replaced with another and the only thing you can do is buy the entire unit again as the cover is not sold separately. So this is the third time we've had to replace it. I'm writing BBB as it's just wrong as the brass cap has been replaced with this thin piece of plastic. Next time it will be…

This water valve worked great on my Dometic 510 toilet

It worked perfectly on my Dometic 510 toilet. The improved brass shaft should hold up well. I lubricated the o-rings on the shaft with silicone grease so they slide without nicks and seal better. After assembling the sphere, I sprayed it and the entire drain pipe with silicone spray. I also put silicone spray on the ball seals to keep everything well lubricated. Now it holds water like a champ and doesn't leak. This was part of a complete rebuild where I replaced the vacuum breaker and water…
